M157, M177, M178, M276, M278 fuel injector 

piezo crystal which expands then contracts when voltage applied (the expansion is what pushes on the pintle to open)

I bet that little block you were holding was the piezoelectric material in the injector. It’s a material that changes shape when you apply voltage to it. It doesn’t look like there’s a traditional coil at all. The material has to change shape only very little as you said the needle only has to open a tiny bit.

Hey Tasos, can a (warm) long crank issue be caused because of leaking injectors on the m112/3k? I know there is a valve inside the pump so already changed pump and filter with regulator and no improvement. no fault codes and it's running fine otherwise. I know i should buy a test gauge but the fuel system is not so complex on these old engines. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!

How do you how that the injectors are not working? What can I look for when replacing it from a m157 CLS 63

So is it possible, that all the cylinder bore damages in m278 m157 are because of injector fault? --> gasoline washes away oil
