The M1905 detachable blade bayonet was approved in 1905 and is 16 inches long with a stopped fuller on each side. The front of the blade has a false edge and the bayonet ended in a spear point. The bayonet has two catches one for the scabbard and one for the Krag style front lug. Wooden grips were screwed to the hilt. There are many variations of the bayonet & the scabbard. This is the 1st variation of both the bayonet and the scabbard.
