I have the same model. I upgraded to Wilson Combat magazine and extractor. It made a big difference with extraction and ejection problems, which were pretty frequent for me in a brand new model.

43x is pointless. That grip is stupid long. At that point, just carry a 19 or even Sig X Macro, which is the same grip length as the 43x and holds SEVENTEEN rounds instead of 10.

I like the handguard, but the Fde is not Magpul Fde and trying to configure wires from my light on the 10” handguard is a challenge. Also the heavy 300 blackout barrel I’m using makes the qd mounts just decoration. Had to put a Magpul adapter for a two point sling.

Carried ac43 for quite a while until the p365 was introduced. Haven’t touched my 43 in 5+ years. P365 is light years better than the 43, which yes, IS archaic nowadays.

I have had the garrison in stainless for about 18 months now. Swapped out the fire control group and slide lock with ED Brown parts and had the front strap checkered at 25LPI. Along with actual Novak sights in black rear and red fiber optic front. It has been 100% reliable and more accurate than I am for sure. It really is a quality pistol. Im Thinking on a garrison comander in the near future..great review, thank you for sharing.

I have both the cz75 compact 2 tone all steel and p01 omega decocker setting with tlr 8a cz aluminum grips and fiber optic front sight. Groupings better on the p01 with all those upgrades. The recoil spring on the p01 is much heavier than the cz75 compact. P01 harder to rack on high stress scenarios.

You actually missed a sling that was between the M1907 sling and the M1 web sling. It is the Kerr NoBukl canvas sling which predates the M1 web sling by decades.

The pin holding the hammer is staked btw ( it’s possible to get with a big hammer and starter punch)

Thanks for doing this. I got my P-01 a couple of weeks ago and was pretty disappointed in the trigger compared to both my C75B Omega and my SAR P8S. The DA pull feels MUCH worse than the 10-12# indicated by my gage. But I don't have the appetite to put the cost of another gun into upgrading this one. I'm going to give this a try. TY

You should do the pro package. It’s wonderful… reach reduction and short reset trigger 💪🏻( minus the reduced power trigger spring= mushy reset)

Gotcha. Does the lighter weight spring and extended firing pin extend the life of the rolling pin ?

My question is why would you need to upgrade the hammer spring for the extended firing pin?

Why change all that stuff on a perfectly good pistol. Mine works great right out the box. Great video regardless
