Some of the AA or RIA stamp on the m1 carbine stock was made during the 1950 to 1960. when alot of the m1 carbine went through a refurbish process that replace any damage/wore out part. These two contractor are a u.s government contract to fix any u.s military weapon that need to be fix.

my father was an soldier for the U.S during the vietnam war. he was next door in Laos fighting against the Communist North Vietnam troop that use the country of Laos to transport weapon and troop to south vietnam. My father was part or a 50,000 hill tribe people known as the " Hmong " recruit and train by the CiA. their job was to attack the NVA troop and supplies line within the country of Laos. this secret operation will be known as the " The Secret War " my father join in 1969 when he was just 15 year old. he was issue an M2 carbine, after the USA witdraw from Laos in May 1975. my father along several thousands former Soldier who sided with the US must fled because the new communist Laos puppet government install by North Vietnam was arresting any former soldier. my dad escape to thailand in July 1975. where he stay in a refugee camp until he came to U.S in 1981. i grow up always hearing my father telling story about his love for the m1 carbine. my dad purchase an inland m1 carbine in 1984. i aquired his carbine from him and than also purchase mutiple more m1 carbine too to my collection.
