BFV isn't in this, but BFV has the best M3 Grease Gun sound in video game history.

CoD2 had M3A1 (finger hole to charge the gun) and the one in vietcong makes no sense. (ejects rifle casings and has wrong charging handle)

M3 그리스 건은 미국의 조지 하이드에서 제작된 기관단총으로 톰슨 기관단총이 비싸서 대체하기 위해 만든것으로 그리스 건은 애칭으로 그렇게 불린 이유가 생긴게 윤활유 주입기와 비슷해보이기 때문에 그렇게 불린것이지만 실제 윤활유 주입기 모습과는 다를수도 있지만 그냥 넘어가자 생신것은 스탠 기관단총 과 슈마이저 MP40을 어느정도 섞어 만든 혼종으로 말 그대로 영국 과 독일의 혼종이다.그리스건도 프레스로 찍어서 만든것으로 전부다 철제이다.탄피 배출구는 앞에 있으며 탄창을 꽂을 자리가 탄피 배출구 아래에 있다.잡을때는 MP40 처럼 잡아 쏠수 있지만 장전 손잡이는 웃기게도 노리쇠 뭉치가 장전 손잡이인데 앞에 딱 손가락이 들어갈 정도 크기의 자리가 파여있다.그렇게 장전하면 손가락에 굳은 살이 엄청나게 베긴다고 한다.종전 이후에는 일본 자위대가 쓰고 있지만 근데 그리스건은 이라크 전쟁에서도 전차 승무원들이 사용하고 있지만 이후로는 전부 교체 되었다.한국 전쟁 즉 6.25 전쟁때 대한민국 국군들도 사용하고 있으며 당시 미군에게 공여 받은듯 하며 근데 베트남 전쟁에서도 징글징글하게 써먹었다.하지만 적국인 북한 역시 M3 그리스 건을 쓰고 있는데 아마 국공내전때 중공에게 지원 받거나 6.25전쟁때 노획한것으로 추정된다.주로 소년병으로 구성된 소년빨치산들이 사용한것으로 아마 PPSH가 좀 길쭉해서 침투하기에는 부적합해서 노휙해서 쓰는듯하다. 근데 기관단총 주제에 꽤나 무겁다.그 이유는 아까도 말했듯이 그리스 건은 전부 철판떼기로 만든것이기 때문에 무게가 나간다.K1A의 무게가 2.88kg(이건 탄창 과 끈이 없을 경우)나가지만 탄창 착용하면 3.53kg(30발 꽉 채운 탄창, 멜빵 끈 포함) 이정도 밖에 안나오며 M3 그리스건은 3.7kg(이건 M3 초기형 탄창 없을시)정도 나온다 그러나 탄창을 착용시 더 나간다... 영화에서는 진짜 징글징글하게 나오며 특히 한국전쟁 관련 영화나 야인시대같은 드라마 나 한국 전쟁 드라마에서는 당연히 나온다. 아 그리고 전략 사무국 전용 사양인 OSS M3 그리스 건이 존재하는데 특이한건 소음기를 빼서 기본 사양 총열로 교체가 가능하다.근데 이런 고정 소음기를 먼저 만든것은 영국의 스텐 기관단총이 먼저이다.근데 OSS M3는 분리 해서 기본 사양 총열로 교체할수 있지만 스텐도 분리해서 쓸수는 있지만 그렇게 되면 기본 사양 총열도 같이 들고가야 하는 문제가 있다.고정식 소음기 무게가 꽤 되기 때문에 등짝이 아작날수도 있으니... 게임에서는 2차 세계대전 배경 및 베트남 전쟁을 배경으로 하는 게임에도 나오긴 하며 특히 핵전쟁 이후 게임인 폴아웃 시리즈에서도 나오는데 정확히는 폴아웃 2부터 폴아웃 뉴 베가스 까지만 나오며 개조 사양인 드럼 확장 탄창을 착용하면 60발로 늘어나며 경량 볼트를 착용해주면 연사력이 30% 문제는 조준은 한손으로 조준하며 정조준은 무슨 권총 잡듯이 조준한다.근데 이건 폴아웃 3에서도 마찬가지이다.근데 잘 보면 상당히 녹슬어 보이는 경우가 많으며 유니크 무기로는 밴스의 9mm 기관단총이 있으며 이건 엄청나게 깔끔하게 나왔다.
