M3 RFW Penn to Ronkonkoma 

I listen to this while I am at college when i do my homework. It cures homesickness and helps me focus. I can even feel myself jostling as if I'm rolling past sunnyside yards right now.

Best Railroad train ride ever, man! : ) I have to put this video in 2x and baby, this video goes fast at 300 mph while listening to music 24/7.

I always hated how the newer M7 don't allow anyone to look out the front anymore but I always enjoyed the M3's for allowing this.

Thank you so much for the unforgettable memories of traveling from Penn to Ronkonkoma and back. Hewlett to Jamaica etc. I miss those trips very much. When I watch the videos and hear the horn of the train, I got sad. Unfortunately, I had to move to another country. i would also like to watch something like that - from Ronkonkoma or Jamaica to Hampton Bays or Riverhead.

This brings back so many memories. I haven't seen Wyandanch station in 20 years, so this video looks nothing like my memories, but I still have love for my hometown.

I have traveled in one these trains on the Long Island Rail Road when I was visiting some of my relatives on my visit to New York City and Long Island just about two years ago. Me and my family were visiting my relatives in New York from Miami and we were on Long Island Rail Road. But somehow, it was on a different route from my relatives' house in Baldwin to Penn Station in New York City and back.

While that train was meeting another train an Express lirr weaved right past us while a local lirr was arriving at the same station we were

I take this line every day. I'd give anything to have this conductor's view. Looking out the side window just isn't the same!

Memories, 60 years I remember playing on the Queens Village station. Standing between the 2 3rd rails. Hiding under the platform and putting a penny on the rail. It was cool to see how flat the penny got after a train rolled over it.

I am upstate and the only trains are freight trains and an intercity Amtrak that runs 2-3 times a day, so I really appreciate these

First section of 3rd track is open from Floral Park about 2.5 miles. next section will open soon. When ESA opens in Dec 2022, only M7&M9 cars will operate to GCT. to fill on the shortage of cars to Penn , the mothballed M3’s will fill the gap so you should try to get a vid on one of them operating non stop thru to Hicksville on the new center track.

The next thing after they finish that 3rd track for express trains. They have to replace all the ties with concrete ties so they dont need as much attention.

A lot of new color light signals replacing the old position light signals. However, still tons more to replace before signals are consistent.

My homework is three hours in sunnyside yards right now when it curves himesless and helps me focus.

Notice the new track that still has no third rail installed yet, next to the concrete ties.

The ride between Floral Park and Hicksville looks much different in summer 2021 as the 3rd track project has progressed a lot, almost all of the grade crossings are gone, replaced by bridges.

Coming to TSW 2020 M3's

Misty fog and rain! Today (Apr 23.2022) we have Foggy Mist, Ice and Snow, with I-94 and indeed all of western North Dakota is closed to traffic. No travel advised.

I WISH more newer trains had RFWs so more fantastic videos like this can be made! The M3s will be gone soon and the RFW will be extinct on the LIRR and Metro North
