So do they all come with a locked ecu? Or do some come with an unlocked ecu and I could just do some jb4 tune and or bmod? I just got a lil confused but W VID tho I def subbed cuz I’m thinkin bout buyin one
JB4 is a piggy back. Every car can run JB4 with any unlocking. Aside from that it would need to be unlocked. Pre 06/2020 production requires only a bench unlock (200-350 and can be done locally); post 06/2020 requires FEMTO unlock which requires the DME to be sent out and costs a lot more. catless downpipe = more gas i see that with the stock one ur gas is fine in sport its not too much but when u downpipe and put all that extra its like someone drink ur fuel tank
From what I understand, catless downpipe is less restriction which would = better gas mileage. I have a heavy foot in sport + and after the tune I definitely saw a slight drop in gas mileage. When I installed the catless downpipe with no tune there was no difference in gas mileage other than me wanting to hear it more in sport + lol.
True, the purist/older gen probably complained about the stock burbles in the 2020 as annoying and they got rid of it. It was one of the first things that sold me on the car when I test drove mine.
24 LCI - mix of Comfort / Sport+, getting 28.2 MPG, drive spirited. Absolutely love this car. The carplay is still finicky in 24, i miss wired carplay. There's also times where the button to go to the next song or go back just randomly stops working until the next time you turn the car back on.
Almost 30 MPG is solid! It’s too much fun not to drive spirited lol. Wired carplay should def be an option still. The randomness of it working is annoying af
Hey bro, if you were to choose one would you prefer the Camaro over the m340 or vice versa? I’m leaning more towards the m340 due to the better gas milage, cheaper maintenance, and if I got the Camaro it’d have to be a 6speed. What are your thoughts bro?
@@nopal4025 honestly it’s to early to tell !! but what i will say the camaro was more fun definitely. nothing gets better then a screaming V8 2door …. but as a everyday driver i think the m340 will be better . due to what you say as in better gas mileage, & way more room … the m340 does have way more customization settings i will you that.. and honestly for the m340 only advertised at 380hp and having 4 doors . it dosent feet that much slower then the camaro To be honest …. the best mpg i got with the camaro was 16mpg & that’s normal driving … with my new m340 i’ve been punching the gas alot & im still getting 19mpg ,
It’s hard to compare the 340 to a V8 M3. For strictly fun within driving experience I would say the E92, because of the raw V8 sound. I feel like you’d still need to dial in the suspension, wheel/tire setup, exhaust, and tune, etc on it to really enjoy it. Similar things can be done to the M340i and you’ll definitely have a fun car but while maintaining reliability, daily driving, and having an updated interior. You’d be deciding between the sounds atp.
My carplay and music skipping works great on my 2020 m340i so I don't know why some don't wanna work. Also if people are really concerned about gas mileage I have gotten 28.7 mpg with 445 miles to the tank and that was highway with mostly city driving, eco pro 80% of the time and 20% sport plus. I've had mine for about a year now and I can definitely say it is worth buying.
@@jaeGlitchy so when you turn your car on sometimes the Bluetooth connects first which disables you from changing songs on steering wheel I just go to setting and disconnect and reconnect it works after

I have RWD and have fun with it. If you’re trying to push a lot of power and see yourself doing digs then go for the X-Drive. But if all you can find is RWD there’s nothing wrong with it lol.
CarPlay sucks in my 22’ m40i. It used to work perfectly and then this year it decides to disconnect maybe after 20 minutes of driving every time. I’ve tried to reset and reconnect it so many times, same glitches. I’ve had to learn to use the BMW maps instead, so ugly
I did BM3. I heard they’re similar but the OTS maps aren’t overly aggressive - they’re meant to push safe power and settings for burbles/pops are supposedly all safe. people will run it for years with no issues.
The guy that did mine is no longer in business. The factory headliner was where the work was done. @inspireworkzz I would highly recommend instead (instagram)
I pay $590 monthly. $150 insurance. I got it for 39k (minus tax, registration, etc) and put 10ish down. I’ll probably make a more detailed video about this in the future.
How much did you pay for spark plugs and engine coils I got qutoed 1,200 for 4 coils and spark plugs and for the labor should I just do it myself with my cousin who is a mechanic himself?
