I might can answer them I have my m42 built to this almost and spent a whole year on researching this little motor

i used mainly partslink24 website for engine schemes . Main components i replaced were pistons and piston rods . also all bearings were replaced and other parts like valves , crankshaft , engine block , camshaft were rebored

You can do it Just invest in some decent quality used tools and practice on a blown up junkyard engine

that was only exhaust manifold sound XD IRL it was pretty loud

I used torque wrench just didn't put it in video (common value for those small bolts is 15 Nm) . But the small oil pan is tricky because it's from aluminium and you can snap threads easily . I replaced threads on small oil pan for metal thread inserts later on so I can tighten them more and prevent leaking
