In Part. 4 of the 600whp Turbo M50 Build Series we are FIXING A SMOKING TURBO from an incorrect drain. We will be test fitting / measuring, drilling and welding the pan AN fitting, installing the new custom GTA feed / drain lines, re-welding the Achilles oil pan baffle, and installing everything before the engine goes back in its home.
NO SUMP PUMP ON A SPA BOTTOM MOUNT!!! That's a win in my book.

Holy cow.. making sure it's precisely 90 degrees.. that's something i've never seen anyone do. Mostly just eyeball it.. but wow, that IS important and most of the time the cause of any oil seepage.

Nice! I did a tube that ends on the side of the oil pump sump. Never had a problem.

I have a PPF tubular bottom mount manifold which sit turbo even lower. I also have a G35-900 (Pulsar). The manifold is made for Precision turbos which mount at a different angle so the G35 sits a lot closer to the block, i had to grind webbing off the block and tranny. PPF normally run a scavenge pump with this manifold, which i dont want. I clocked the entire drain flange on the turbo so it's pointing directly at the fitting on the pan at about a 10-12 degree angle, and the fitting itself points up at about 10-12 as well. Will be interesting to see if it works. The drain flange is a little bit above the pan gasket level.

That manifold really puts the turbo low. I will be surprised if that oil drain doesn't smoke.

Try use some 80-90Hz and ~30-35 % balance, it shuld weld better

@@Drift.Things Yesterday i weld oil pan from fiat 1.4, I have to make more room for exhaust due to 4x4 conversion and that bitch was so dirty I have to weld it 3 times 😆
