I Love to drive My 1991 BMW E34 M50b25. The E34 is possibly the best 5 Series manufactured by BMW. The car is well balanced, but of course the M50S38 motor of the M5 is an engineering miracle. Simply put, it is motoring perfection and I would love to get my hands on the M5 S38 online Six with independent throttle bodies.
M30 is much better... M30 create M-Power... first M engine came from M30... M30 is 40 years of racing history... M50 were build only 5 years, why? because was so perfect?
Отличный двигатель! Купил E34 525 M50B25S1 с пробегом 540 000. Компрессия везде высокая и ровная. Цепи и гидрокомпенсаторы поменял сам, при том - что раньше этого не делал ни на одной машине
@@unclemamad8023 Why should it be? All the modern BMW motors combine VANOS with turbos from the factory. And if it's a feature you don't want you could always just deactive it.
@@soundseeker63 yea thats tuned from factory if you want to manually turbo it then i think fine tuning the ECU would be hard, at least twice as hard as s non vanos engine maybe im wrong i dont know dont have any experience in it
@@unclemamad8023 I don't think it's necessary to alter the VANOS behaviour, there are hundreds of examples of single and double VANOS engines that have been tuned with aftermarket turbos (and superchargers) that don't appear to have any issues. If it was thought to be causing any issues you could simply disconnect the solenoid plugs so the engine behaves as a non VANOS. However most modern engines combine VVT with forced induction and I'm sure any good tuning company would know how to adjust the VANOS perameters to be suited to forced induction. All the principles that apply to OEM turbocharged engines with VVT will also apply to aftermarket tuned engines, it is simply a matter of transferring that knowlege over and adjusting it to the specific application.
M30 ist viel besser. M30 hat fast 40 Jahre renngeschichte. M30 war schon im 3.0Csl, erste M motoren waren auf grund M30 gebaut. M30 ist viel mehr rubust, hat viel mehr Nm. Wenn m50 waren so genial dann warum BMW hat die nur 5 Jahre gebaut, 8 mal kurzer als M30? M88/S38 das ist M30 mit vier ventilen technik und ITB, kann man sagen S38 ist getunnte M30 und jetzt vergleich S38B38 z.B. mit S50B32. Spater war noch schlimmer, diese ganze alusil/nikasil geschichte mit schwefel im sprit. Wenn du schaust von anfang dann erste moderne BMW motor war M10 (R4) dann die haben 2 zylinder zugegeben und so hat M30 enstanden als grosse sechs und dann die haben auch baby sechs entwickelt als M20. Fur mich viel lieber groessere motoren folgen, trotz ich selber fahre mit e34 M50B25TU. Einzige problem mit M30 ist verbrauch und nur aus diese grund wollte ich M73B50 einbauen weil hat gleiche verbrauch aber V12 ist V12. OK, M73 ist nachfolger von zwei M20B25 zusammengescheisst. Das ist nicht perfeckt.

from M50B25TU you can also build M50B30TU and even M50B32TU when you took parts from S50B32, but why you should do this when you can buy M30B35 which has bigger moment than M50B30TU and install 290 cam with ITB. It is cheaper, more powerfull and more undestrucktable. And sounds much better than M50... sorry thats tru. STROCKER is much more expensive than tunned M30.
