David, you make it look so easy. As a fellow modeler, I know how much time goes into a typical completed model, especially one done to the superb level you do. Not to mention shooting the companion video & all that involves. Well done…again. You set a VERY high bar!

Antennaes are tied down to prevent contact with powerlines inside of towns and villages.
@Phillipthe2

The main purpose of the lanyard on the antenna is to keep it from shattering when slapping against trees, building, the underside of bridges, or power lines. Modern antenna are usually copper sheathed in fiberglass as an insulator...older stuff would have been sheathed in something similar bakelite.

3D Printing is so good for subjects like this in scales where no kit exists. You did a great job on this one. The Super Sherman really is a beast!

Yes, but from the other hand it moves the traditional modelling requiring hand skills to cad modelling. We are entering "print'em all". I wonder how it's handled on competition models?

Amazing how well it turned out! In the past you could tell 3D printed parts from across the room. This model looked good even when still attached to the 3D support sprues. 3D printing has come a long way and is definitely the future to small scale modeling. As always; it's a treat to watch a Plasmo video - cheers!

Hey! Try to use ball tips on supports. it's easier to remove without useing side cutters and not damaging your model. Also try to remove supports BEFORE uv light - it's also easier and cleaner. Or after uv deep into hot water and then remove supports - hot water softens thin resin parts for a short time

Just in case you didn't do so, removing supports before fully curing makes them a lot easier to remove, also running the model under hot/warm water can soften the resin allowing the supports to seperate easier as well, besides that great model!
@BT271
@BT271 5 месяцев назад
And using a ball type for your point of contact rather than the cone on your supports doesn't dig in your mini when you free it from it's base ;)

Next time before curing your Resin prints, take some lurk warm water, dunk your prints in there and then remove the supports. They will come off much cleaner and require less post processing. But take care to wash it thouroughly and let it dry completly to not pollute the water with resin

HELLO nice detailing and beautiful results as always! just an advice if I may, you can sumergue the model in hot water before curing the resin, then the supports will easily fall apart. And I imagine you are touching the cured model with out globes, but if it is not cured I wouldn´t recomend to touchit whitout the proper globes. BEst regards from argentina!

Overall i think it looks great. Only thing is that you have all that mud and dirt on the suspension but nothing on the tracks. A pot of the mud on the arms that hold the wheels in place comes from mud and dirt thrown up by the tracks or it falls down onto the suspension arms. Just an opinion. Still a really good job.

you remove the supports in the wrong way. You should first print the model, then clean it, then wash it in warm water and immediately pull off the supports (just by hand ), dry it, and only than cure it. It would save you so much energy and the result would have been better ;)
