My son and I built a plane model the other day in 2 hours, lost all the propellers and was painted all blue; still the best time ever. Wouldn't have done it without your inspiration. Thanks!
@@thatmaverickguy859 I agree. I used to build models as a child and enjoyed the detailed hand work. I eventually become a gunsmith. Retired now but I always looked forward to going to work and loved my job. My brothers used to say they hated their jobs so I felt very fortunate.
I remember getting into modeling when I was a kid, with my Dad. I still have the first model we made...a waterline Kriegsmarine Graf Spee. It's in terrible shape but a lovely memory.
For a military vehicles builder, you're certainly very talented with car models. A lot of armor/plane guys will build the entire model and spend hours painting parts in place instead of seperately as intended. Two totally different styles and you've nailed them both.
My father took me to Brands Hatch that year, I remember this car so clearly, it was my second favourite after the Surtees Ford driven by Vittorio Brambilla who was my father's favourite driver, and who I am named after. F1 racing then was so much more exciting, and the noise was incredible.
FIY the wires used for WIFI transmission from the antennas to the WIFI module inside laptops have that braided texture. Excellent for making small details.
Hi David, your channel is the first one which trully inspired me to follow and do this hobby. 1 year later I've built my 5th scale model, and even started making RU-vid videos out of it, and realised is a hobby for life. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring people!
as an auto modeler primarily I’m glad to see you do another car, especially a beautiful formula one kit! always a pleasure to see you elevating these classic kits 👏👏👏 well done
What memories! Mario Andretti's car, that car was the forerunner of ground effect, I still remember it on the tracks, when Formula 1 was a real competition and not the dirty monetary circus that it has become now, a shame ..., excellent model and construction work as always, greetings from southern Argentina.
No joke, after you asked for model suggestions in your B-29 video, even though I didn't comment it, I was hoping you'd do a Formula 1 car or something. This happens to be one of my favorites, so very happy to see this. If you're looking for suggestions again, maybe a modern F1 car on the same scale? Would show how massive the cars have become over the years. This Lotus is quite a petite car, but the modern ones are so big that no team has even come close to the minimum weight limit rule. Some have even resorted to stripping off paint, they're so desperate for weight savings.
Absolutely stunning. One comment I want to make is I see everyone scrubbing the tires to make them look rougher. Brand new slicks are very smooth and very shiny, so there's nothing wrong with leaving them as is. If the final model is super clean and super polished it would make sense for it to be on brand new slicks.
Building the model is the easy part, but I have to say. A model isn't a model unless you can paint and understand how to use paints properly. Your models are extraordinary sir. Thank you.
Another great model! For the fuel lines, to make these even more realistic I use to push some mixed yellow / orange clear varnish trough them with a hypodermic needle. It gives a really nice impression of fuel in the lines. Keep up the great work David, really enjoying to watch your video's.
Hello PLASMO - plastic models, That was "FREAK'n AWESOME!!" I watch this video 2 times, such AMAZING Details! Always a pleasure to watch your super cool and fun video builds. Thank you so much for sharing your Hobby with us. You're my FAVORITE Builder and Channel! Liked and Shared as always. Peace 😎✌👍Take care and Be well! 👌
Thanks. I enjoyed the kit. The model still has a lot of mistakes because it is my third formula one model, but I am glad you like it. The next video will be after the holidays, so thanks for your patience. 😘
You have done a fantastic job. The video is very well produced and your explanations very helpful. Thank you very much and make more videos like this one! Best regards to you.
I would love to see you do a 1\25 scale semi tractor! You could go nuts on the plumbing and wiring on the diesel engine and all the air lines!! Would be just awesome!
Beautiful work as always David, I wonder if other modellers think it is a shame the John Player logos are even more controversial than Swastikas these days?
Nice job, David. It's a little change of pace for you, I think. I always manage to get a couple of tips from your builds, no matter what the subject. Well done!
I primarily build car models and you have given me more ideas in one video than I have seen in the last 10! So well done. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent!
Brilliant, just Brilliant David. Your work never ceases to amaze me. Your techniques are simply masterful. I've learned so much from you. Thank you David for sharing. My hat is off (as to salute) to you sir.
You knocked it out of the park with like always Plasmo 👍👍 And I love a Black and Gold color scheme looks mean. Also the blue & red joint fittings look sick AF and give it that much more realism, I wish I could do this.
What i admire - and what makes your channel so unique by the way - is your entitlement to adding even more details and more realism as is included in the "out of the box" model kit. Thats exactly my way of model making. Please keep on the good work !
This really isn't the kind of model I build, but you really have lit a fire under me to do one - probably this exact kit. NOW, I just need to convince you to do a fire engine build!!!
