In the Mazak 640 t system, how to set the tools so that they change without moving to the tool change point, I would like the head to rotate close to the workpiece, without moving away. It was fine, and now the head runs away behind the tailstock to change the tool.
Hi there. For tool changes, usually the turret needs to be in a safe position in X axis to not hit the part while doing the tool change. Do you use G28 or G30 before the T-command to send the axes to the tool change position? There are parameters to set the position of each axis.
Hi there. Rapid traverse override display area is an indication of the current rapid traverse speed in percentage (0 to 100) with respect to the maximum value preset in parameter A1. Here is the maximum speed of each servomotor. Please provide the part number on the label of each of them so I can tell you what A1 value should be equals to in your case. You can’t enter any value over the maximum speed each servomotor can reach. In case of JOG mode, if the door is open, the CNC will limit the maximum to 25% for safety reasons. If you want to JOG the axes at 100% you have to close the door. This behavior can be modified but it is not recommended. Hope this helps.
@@brycesmith7592 can you share their model? To check the manuals. Let’s say the servomotor speed is 3000rpm and your ballscrew has 10mm lead, your linear speed is gonna be 30000 mm/min and depending of your machine’s characteristics this can be too high, normal or too low. Setting the at the maximum can cause premature wear on the ballscrew and reduce its life
