@@joaopedrosambatti2474 the primary shotguns if I remember right were basically on par with the bolt actions with the flechette rounds. You can use them as a sniper rifle and the extra penetration makes those dying to wallbang kills really salty
@@theLV2 I kniw the game since beta and NWI since Insurgency 2014, and nope, it's not a bug. It's not even in the bug list. Even in Insurgency 2014, the pump speed increase was not stated in the description of the grip neither.

The Serbu Super Shorty inherently makes every game it's in a little bit better, so I'm all for this. A sawn off side-by-side for the Insurgents would fit right in too

I picked up insurgency like a month ago, and at first I though it was just ok, but I've been having so much fun with the shotguns, I'm addicted to this game now. There's just something about reloading every shot, and the pump action that is so soothing to me. I prefer the look of this shotgun more, specially because of the stock, but I prefer the TOZ's iron sights, so I just run this on my security and the TOZ on my insurgent. I use flechette, aiming grip (I might start using recoil grip), and Laser sight. I try to not to aim down sights when breaching and just using the laser sight. I mostly play Checkpoint, and its perfect for defending an objective. I have 3 incendiary I just throw at doors and I just periodically shoot guys before they even open the door
@@cthulhu06 map sensitive, but any close range map and especially on defence it definitely is. Meta doesn't mean it will win every fight it means it's a good pick. They are so cheap and require no mods so you can stack nades and other stuff
@@samgeorge4798 honey badger and MP7 are meta, why waste time with a pump Action when you can just mag dump with 40rnd mag on an MP7, or with a honey badger with its high ROF.
@@samgeorge4798 Shotguns are as good as your aim is, that's why they require a certain amount of skill. Bad aim = bad shotgun even in CQB. That's why any full/semi auto weapon is better. If you miss your frist shot, you have much more possibilities to survive.
Wish they add the 12 gauge saiga with a 30 round drum mag 12g m4 benelli 12g spaz shell holders for pump actions and the mossberg 500 pistol grip no buttock or top folding buttstocks

Used an 870 for duty usage for 2 years, been hunting with it since I could walk. For real life I wouldn't exactly call it a new shooter friendly gun because of short stroking the pump, the bulkiness and recoil of using 00 Buckshot and shot pattern. It's definitely a extremely effective in close range. As Clint Smith said, "It will literally kill you, throw a chunk of your body on the floor and make someone come clean it up later"
Pistols put holes in people, rifles put holes through people, shotguns at the right range and the right load will rip a chunk of shit off your target and throw that shit on the floor

My pump build is holo, recoil grip, and a laser. I predominantly use it when defending obj. On the note of spread pattern... if you imaging the cloud of shot being about the size of a basketball its easy to miss hitting someone with a basketball.

The thing about the range of shotguns is that this game is one of the few ones that provides the right avenue for shotguns to have the real-life range. That is because most games are typically more fast-paced and more CQB-oriented. If shotguns were to have that real-life range, they would be the most overused weapon class in those games, making sniper rifles and some assault rifles obsolete. Hence, that “idiot cannon” range was meant to balance it out for those games. Here, however, most engagement distances are medium-to-long range and is more slow-paced than most games. Thus, giving shotguns that real-life range is more than justified. Just my 2¢.

yeah shotguns are real accessible for the untrained until they shortstroke it and the gun doesnt go bang and they die lol. Actually significantly more advanced platforms then your average modern rifle.
As a seasoned pump shotgunner, I can confirm that shotguns are great until you short stroke them or have to reload them under stress. Currently I much prefer the beretta 1301 or benelli M4, But a Carbine is pretty much a better option for 95% of time.

My favorite shotgun. Load soke flachettes and a loading grip. Stick a laser on that bad boy and if youre really feeling crazy, throw a 4 power acog with a red dot on top
this weapon is cheap for one pellet skimming your head and counting as a kill, its pure bull from what a center mass shot would actually do to max armor
Honestly I just use the flechettes reloading grip and the 2x red dot and I think this is probably one of the best setups for a fast play style I mean I’ve dropped a 77 kill game using both shotties
I want you to do gun guides for the console version. I know you might consider yourself PCMR. But a lot of us on console have nowhere to go for reliable information. I know it would mean a lot of work your end, but I'd be willing to help however I could. I've actually been emulating your play style in IS on console and I must say it's _very_ effective.
