Of all the videos I watched, no one else mentioned that you could use the mini as a power bank to recharge USB devices. Thanks for that, maybe now I can justify this purchase with my wife! lol... It's practical! It's a big battery with radio and Bluetooth. Perfect emergency/hurricane radio, but the nostalgia factor also makes me inclined to use it regularly too. I was on the fence since it came out, but right now they're finally running a sale for $120, and I nabbed one. When it comes in, I'll have to do a teardown video.

Hi, i just got my mini and micro yesterday, they really are beautiful to look at, I'll be interested in any other mini boomboxes new wave make. On the mini i can hear a hiss or a low static sound, it's okay when the music is turned up but if there is a slower, quieter song playing i can hear it more, it happend on Bluetooth and micro sd, haven't tried the usb drive yet. I'm just wondering if all the mimi's have this issue or is mine faulty?
On my mini, there is a very slight hiss. It's not distracting but I have noticed it as I've added more songs to the microSD. NWT did release a firmware update for it here: newwavetoys.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000668532-m90-mini-blaster-firmware-update-may-2022 , it doesn't describe what they have fixed so I'm hesitant to apply it at this point. However, thought I'd mention it.
Thank you so much for the reply, I'm happy to know my mini is not alone in it's hiss, returning it from the uk would be a pain, plus it's (blue speaker edition) out of stock and i wouldn't want to lose it.. thinking about it now, even if it stopped working tomorrow I'd still keep it as a cool replica for display only.. and the work they put into the 1/6 scale too, if hot toys had made it with that amount of detail and build quality they would be charging a lot more than the £70 I paid. This is the first video I've watched where someone actually places the micro sd into the machine, i would've put it in upside down if i hadn't seen your vid lol:-) I've been trying to find out what size micro sd the mini will take, does anyone know? About a week ago I saw that they were out of stock on new wave toys, so i decided to order a mini from sideshow and import it to the uk, then the other day new wave toys got stock in for the blue speakers so of course i had to order one, and the micro too. I can not wait for all three to arrive, they all look amazing. I just need to find out the sd size. Thanks for the unboxing/review. :-)
Thank you for watching and your kind comments! The card I used here was a 128GB microSD. It only had one song on it (to avoid copyright issues in the video), but it worked well. I've not seen any "official" limit on the size of the card mentioned. Typically, 256GB (or less) is a safe bet.

I listen to a lot of 80's music and I'm gonna make the tracks for the sd cards exclusively 80's only.. I'm a total geek. Thanks again:-)
@WagnersTechTalk thanks, But to me it doesn't make sense to bake when one of the best radios in the world and make a small version to me was cannot. Silly he should make the actual size. I hope there we make the actual size or some other company or some of the brand that would be awesome.
@@WagnersTechTalk Yeah I understand bless you my friend. I just Thought or figured for that matter That they would have made one same size. They're already had Take the time money in effort To create it But why do it smaller? Seems backwards to me. The whole idea about that radio was because of It's size. Why not just make the same size. After going through all the trouble why not make it big like the original. The ones made in the 80s are selling for almost 4000 or over $4000. You could just as easy, make the same one same size Like the original.
