I got them both last week, and they are truly amazing. The quality is unmatched. My only 2 issues is that when I sync my iPod to the Mini, the first second of so of each song is skipped. I am hoping there is some kind of software update for this coming soon. Also, when using Bluetooth, there is a really loud hissing. Great unboxing!
Love New Wave Toys! This one took a while, but seeing the progress from start to finish. I got 2 mini, but will lucky pick up an M90. Can’t wait for their next project! Thanks Doug

i always wanted to walk around with one of these things on my shoulders as a kid but couldnt afford it. Now with one of these mini ones, I can walk around the shops and even strap it to my head perhaps with velcro straps, due to the smaller form factor! Easier to move about! :D
These are so cool. I can't believe I wasn't aware of this Kickstarter. I would have definitely purchased one. I know they are eventually coming but still wish I was a part of the backers.

A tip to minimize background noise/hiss when in bluetooth mode... your bluetooth device can control the volume of your mini m90 boombox - with this in mind set the volume of your bluetooth device (iphone for example) to maximum/highest level. then increase the volume of your m90 boombox to desired level - this will reduce the noise output as you are reducing the sound produced by the m90 while maximizing the sound from the bluetooth device.
My two micro M90s just arrived today! They are incredible in detail and sound!Well worth the 2 year wait! I only wish I had backed the mini version, so I’ll definitely have to pick one up when they become available on the website.
Got mine. One fatal flaw I noticed is that on the lowest volume, it's too loud. I can't use it in a quiet room like I planned. Also, speakers make a humming noise when nothing is playing, but that is minor.
I feel like the volume on mine is too low. I have to turn the volume knob way up and also the volume on my phone. I get a humming sound constantly even when a song is playing I can still hear it and it’s quite annoying. I emailed their customer support and waiting to hear back
COOLTOY bringing us another New Wave Toys banger! I also got the Mini/Micro pack but with the blue speakers. Very impressed by the whole thing, as usual with NWT products. One small gripe on the Mini is there is an audible hiss when in BT mode. Not the biggest of deals when the volume is pretty high, but at lower volumes it can be distracting. It also def works/sounds best if you have your BT device's volume set very high and adjust the volume on the M90 thereafter. Good stereo separation, and very clear on the mids and highs. Speakers benefit from break-in, so I imagine this will sound better (especially low-end, not that its bad) the more you use it. Very surprised by how good the Micro is! Little guy packs a punch and fits in your pocket, and looks awesome to boot. Very tempted to find a gold chain that I could hang it from...
I mostly backed this for the Micro, but wow, is this a cool speaker! I’m actually paired with the Mini from my iPhone while watching this video, so you might say it sounds great! I’m glad I backed this Kickstarter, it’s completely worth the wait! That being said, the plastic panel covering the counter isn’t sticking well, I might have to drop New Wave Toys a note. Otherwise it’s exceeded my expectations!
pretty neat. Didn't know about it. I see they only have the microwave in right now. Kind of like to get both depending on price. Micro kind of pricey. It'll look good with the hot toys Marty/back to the future figure

But whatever I still probably won't get it the list is so long but hey in the odd chance it sucks I sell it for more than what a paid for it right. Lol crazy times in the pinball hobby...

i got the blue too, it looks amazing! I believe at some point during production they stated that the blue speakers will be mass produced even though they initially stated it would ONLY be for the kickstarter backers... The only difference between ours and the ones that will be mass produced is that our has a number on the back. I'm number 975/1705 (or something close to that lol)

I just ordered the slick rick version of this today. Right now they're on sale and I got mine for only $89! I'm hoping it comes soon. I've heard the sound quality is pretty good, but how is the radio reception? That was one of my main reasons for ordering this too bc its's tough finding a quality speaker with a good radio too
Radio reception is going to vary for every person based on their location and their proximity to radio signals. So there is no way for me to answer how your personal radio reception experience will be.
My friends and I used to lug around an old boombox when we would go to skateboard spots in the 90s. Great times, though I hated how many ginormous batteries those things would take lol.
Doug my ALP just died and out of warranty, possibility the power supper died. Could I buy a 20 LCD TV, remove that ATGames Backbox Monitor and replace it. I could the just plug in from that HDMi slot on the 20 LCD Tv to my dedicated PC right and use it only for VPX use. I'll still use the ALP Body, legs and playfield screen are still fine and can be reused. What brand/wattage power supple would you recommend for my pinball project?
you wont be able to use a different monitor/tv for your backbox unless you have the VIBS board from AtGames as that is the only way to convert the stock PCB video signal to accept HDMI output for the second display.
CoolToy, Yeah, I was going to back this one, but when I found it didn't come with Buzzsaw, I just couldn't jump on it. Yeah, the replica Memorex tape is cool, I still have real full size versions of this tape with mixes I made back in the day, but come one. If they couldn't get the rights to Buzzsaw, they could've at least tried for the less popular Laserbeak. Just kidding, of course, this is really cool. If I didn't already have too many Bluetooth speakers, this would be a great one to have :) vgv
Not sure honestly, it wasn't necessarily detailed in the kickstarter as a bonus, so I would suspect it would come in the standard retail version as well.
Lol I also got weird clear glue on my handle. I think it’s supposed to help with the handle going down smoothly but they applied too much. I just cleaned it with a qtip and water/little soap solution. Wiped away with a microfiber cloth
I have had the M90 mini boombox for two weeks and it keeps turning itself on for no reason at all! Sometimes during the night....which is quite annoying! Anyone else experience this?
