Gisselle’s Egypt vlogs provide an immersive experience, making you feel as though you're wandering through the streets of Cairo or exploring the ancient pyramids, all from the comfort of your own home. It's the next best thing to actually being there, offering a superb virtual journey through the sights, sounds, and culture of Egypt.
Thanks so much for the tour Giselle 😊 that neighborhood does look lovely and quiet. I will visit maadi after seeing the pyramids. Your video gave a good visual of the Nile. Have a lovely week!
That looks like my kind of place. Lots to do and people are buzzing around everywhere. You even had several old Vw Beatles in your footage and a Vw microbus. Very cool to see those. I think they were popular in the region because they don’t need a radiator, they are air cooled engines. Perfect for the climate. You are my hero the way you cut through traffic like a hot knife through butter. I hold my breath when there’s an narrow passage for you to fit through, but you always do. Very cool neighborhood though. Thank you for showing this!
Oh there was a donation here! It didn't show me on my computer, but it did on my phone just now. Strange! Well thank you so much for your donation again mpggog! Really generous of you 🙏🙏🙏
Gigi For some where expensive like Maadi, it's hell of a dusty area. I think I like the Sound of Zamalek. Although. new Cairo looks nice from what I heard
Hi Gisselle, I like your spirit and your videos, 8:50 BTW, this building is the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt, have a fun in Egypt and take care!
at 20:03 the blokes on the bike were asking for direction and were saying are we in the right lane, but could not make what they were saying due to background noise
Oh ,,thank you for taking me ride by broadcasting ,,,everyday when i wake up early for work i promise myself to take myself for a tour like this ,,, but i fail & return home to sleep Thank you
I wanted to add something about Garden City. It has some of the most expensive real estate in Cairo, and all of Egypt. There's numerous apartments/penthouses there that go for over a million US dollars, or rent for thousands of dollars a month. I always wondered if it's an overhyped area, that traffic looked pretty miserable for being prime real estate. 😂
Lucille's on road 9 belongs to a nice American Lady. About 20 years ago Time Magazine stated that she makes the best hamburgers in the world. My best at her place is the Mexican Chilli Con Carne.. Road 9 is the oldest famous street in Maadi.
Nice tour enjoyed that drive. Yes Maadi streets are confusing they are mostly numbers did get lost a few times (walking), I Stayed a few times in Maadi I liked it because of the metro line 1. Actually you where on road 9 when you passed Mc Donald and the metro station Sakanaat el Maadi . All the restaurant and even a Drinkies , many coffee shops usually very busy street its between that metro station and the station Maadi. The more local area is around the station before, Hadayek el Maadi. lots of local foods . Maadi seems far but the Metro is quick to downtown or old Cairo and now you have connection to many areas soon to the Airport and the GEM and Pyramids. Thank's enjoyed the memory lane👍👍😍😍😍
Oh yeah I forgot to add the subtitles thing for Road 9! I was gonna do that 😅 But yeah Maadi is a nice area, I'm not usually in an area with such lush vegetation that is so quiet, it was interesting to see. Thanks for your comment Nabil! 🙏
Wow what a beautiful neighborhood 😍🤩 lot of trees and so calm loved it! But I wonder how much you must earn to afford living 🥹😆 however it look amazing… keep going on your videos, your channel is so fun 🫶🏻👍🏻🤗
I think the guy at 20:05 was trying to give advice. He says always try not to go on the line. I think he meant the expansion line on the bridge. Probably a bike thingy.
Someone in the comments told me he was talking about not driving on the line (lane lines) because they're slippery or something. Honestly I didn't even notice there were lane lines 🤣 Thanks for your comment! ❤️🙏
Thanks, i also heard a lot of al Maadi but never went there. Thx for showing! Seems to be a wide spread and green residential area. Doesn't it have a commercial central area/street? I think the area is just to wide, merely possible to reach everything by walking, so Zamalek seems to be more convenient to me (to my current understanding)
I agree. On my way out I seemed to pass through a busier area with some shops and LOTS of traffic. It was rush hour though and right near the road next to the Nile. By that time I had already stopped recording. But yeah I think Zamalek is a better choice. Not only is Zamalek smaller and therefore more walkable, but it's more centrally located. It only took about 20 or 25 mins to get down to Maadi from downtown, but on the way back it took like 40-50 mins. And that was on my motorcycle, squeezing through all the traffic! I can't imagine stuck in a car.
@@Gventures Maadi nights are very vibrant, with all the restaurants and cafes here, next time your B.F plans to take you somewhere just give Maadi another shot.
@@MohammadMahmoud-n6h I can, ahem, say it's like a bubble and lots of people want to live there. I have heard it and read it called trendy more than a few times. Like I said, not my cup of tea, but apparently lots of people like it.
All these years in Cairo and you never visited Maadi 😊 I told you once before that I wanted to get to know you and you said you hardly have time ! I live in Maadi , you would have seen it long ago haha
And it's still true, I have very little time 😄 Full time RU-vid, full time teacher, I barely find time to study Arabic or hang out with my friends. I've been to Maadi before of course, quite a long time ago. But I rarely go there. It's just not my cup of tea 😊
I prefer Zamalek. But maybe it's just because I'm more familiar with Zamalek, and it's closer to the action. I rarely go to Maadi so I can't say much about it, I don't know much.
Hi Giselle, Thanks for the video. The fellow rider was advising you " try not to drive on lane markings " - Sometimes it's slippery for motorcycles. Drive safe and see you on the road 🙂
Oh, haha! Thanks for the translation. That's funny he was advising me not to drive on lane markings....only in Maadi! No honking and stay in your lane 🤣
@@Gventures Mmm, he's probably doesn't care much to lanes 🤣 but to your safety if drive over sometimes slippery lane markings... Good intentions, anyway 😃
I believe you have built a substantial community through your RU-vid channel. I think it's time to consider arranging a meetup. I'll be in Cairo from October 30 to November 5 and would love to be part of the meetup if it happens."
Ah, I think it would be weird to have a meetup though...I would feel awkward 😅 Besides, I'll actually be on a road trip with my motorcycle from that time. But I hope you have a wonderful time in Egypt! Safe journey amigo
Wow, i recently discovered your channel and spent hours this weekend watching your videos! Just finished watching the video about the new capital and heard about the "300.000 real estate investment, to be granted the egyptian citizenship". It did sound like a good plan and possibility, ofc takes a lot of research first. My number one question tho is, is it true that for a single person, the cost of a decent living is around $350/month excluding rent? That's what I read on every site online, but better to ask someone who lives there! Not talking about a lavish life, just a decent living standard. Thanks in advance, stay safe and continue the nice work!
Thanks Elpe, welcome to the channel! 😁 It's always so hard for me to answer questions like that, because honestly terms like "decent" and "lavish" are objective. I've met expats that easily spend more than that in a month because they go out to eat all the time and take ubers everywhere. I have friends that spend around that amount, but they also take public transportation cook at home, and don't drink alcohol. Probably depends on what neighborhood too. The New Administrative Capital is going to be an expensive one. Are you shopping at the butchers and the local fruit market for your food, or going to a "fancy" shopping mart? Google "Egypt vs. Masr." Masr is local and if you live like that, your expenses will be low. If you live like Egypt they could be higher. That's the best answer I can give.
@Gventures thank u very much Giselle! Your answer was really enlightening. Well I'd call myself a minimalist, less is more kind of guy. As long as there's a rooftop over my head and all my basics needs are covered, I'm content! Best things in life are for free. Friends, a walk, the nature etc. Think I can live on that budget or anywhere around it! I appreciate your answer!!
Hey miss GiGi , what's up , After this long ride in the crouded lousy street's of cairo which become unbearable , you just waste you'r fuel & time with nothing , at least , maybe if you just visited the " Ma'ady Military Hospital " - the civil section , & give us you'r opinion about thier therapeutic services it was beter for us to watch this vloge 😑 Yala a'ad 👋Salam .
Lol wtf bro. First of all, stop liking your own comment, that's lame, and secondly, go film a boring military hospital and "therapeutic services" yourself. Because I promise you I will NEVER do that.
Hello Giselle nice video and a beautiful neighborhood .. if u are interested in a new adventure u can come to Shibin Elkom in Menoufia it's only 60km away from cairo and we have a beautiful road covered with trees and famous Hawawshi Named Alaa (علاء) people come from all egypt to buy it.
I have searched because others have asked me this question, but I have never found a motorcycle rental shop in Cairo or Giza. Only mechanics and purchasing, no rental
You passed so close from where i live Anyway the buildind that drew your attention on your left along way to maadi the Temple like building is the high court of constitution .
@@charlesmathis2423 I actually have no idea. I've never had a tour guide, I always explore on my own. There's tons of websites. Check prices and reviews. A hotel may be a ripoff
Hey Gisselle, another thrill-packed ride through the city!! Thank you for bringing us Maadi. It seems a beautiful area with its lush trees and neatly-trimmed hedges and bushes. And I am sure the restaurants there cater well for the well-heeled expat inhabitants. My goodness, you have to be so agile and attentive to miss all those potholes - I don't know how you do it!! I am sure we have seen those exact same two guys before at 20:00 on one of your earlier bike rides through the streets. Same gestures and facial expressions!! I'd love to know what they actually say to you!! And at 45:43 you made me laugh so much with your reaction to the 'lady' car driver who nearly ran you over!! Well done, Gisselle. I loved it all 😂 😀W
Ahaha, apparently they told me to be careful driving on the painted lanes in the road, as they can be slippery. Someone kindly translated that in the comments. I didn't even notice the painted lanes, to be honest 😆 Yeah it was interesting for me to drive though Maadi too. It's pretty, but I'm glad I don't live there. Seems kind of boring (for me) 😅
@@tamermansour1239 Thanks man, I appreciate you watching! But I don't actually just give out my phone number like that. And I'm never in Maadi. Sorry...
