Maajid Nawaz takes down caller who thinks women are 'weaker' than men

This caller tells LBC it is "of course" it's alright to beat your wife as long as you don't make her bleed or bruise her, and she should obey her husband.
During a debate over Sharia law being kept apart from UK law, one call to Maajid Nawaz had to be heard to be believed.
Ali called Maajid Nawaz to say he found the LBC presenter too critical of Islam.
Maajid came back and said the caller was right, that he wanted "reform of Islam," and he didn't think the way women were treated was right.
Ali said under "Islamic law women have got plenty of rights."
The caller said it was right that a woman can only have half the inheritance of a man because "when she gets married she gets half from the husband as well."
When Maajid asked the caller if he agreed a "sister should only have half the inheritance of her brother," Ali was quick to say "of course."
So Maajid asked, "do you think a wife should obey her husband?"
And Ali's reply "she has to obey her husband," adding women should bow to their husbands.
The caller said, "everybody has got to endorse that."

The government allows Sharia courts to run whole areas of various towns and cities. Hundreds of them. If there should be no Sharia law, then your government should ensure the home culture is respected and no law above state law is practiced. What are the conscervative s conscerving? Nothing. Neurologists have suggested that humans play a psychological trick on their brains (or the other way around) by distancing themselves from the effects that knowledge of certain death will have on their morale. Religion is a device that helps in this regard.

It was the uk who asked Indians to come to this country, Because they didn't want women to work in their factories after the Second World War, And you stole 45 trillion USD from The Indian subcontinent and left the country split into three with British made borders. My wife is a social worker, They had a Muslim woman who was beaten so bad by her husband she spent 3 weeks in hospital, she would not press charges because he would have had her killed, the social services put her in a safe home, he went to the offices and demanded she was sent back to him because she was his property, how much more sick can these people get.

I'm not a muslim but I agree with this muslim man about different traditional roles, responsibilities and privileges for men and women. In the West its men who must obey or pay.

I have no issue with someone saying that women are weaker than men ON AVERAGE, you only have to take one look at absolutely any sporting event to see this. I do have two issues with the caller's mentality. One is that he thinks it gives able bodied people the right to bully disabled people, although on the bright side his twisted logic gives me the right to bully him. The second issue is quite simply... Who cares who is stronger?

Woman gets half but that is for her 100%, the inheritance that a man gets on the other hand is expected to be used on the woman. A man has to pay bills, buy house, car etc..... It's unfair ONLY if the man doesn't spend his money on her.......

The sister getting half of the amount of his brother from the father is a valid reason. Let me tell you why. 1.Islamically men are the provider in a family. So even if your wife has 1 Million dollar on her bank account still she has no obligation to pay even a single penny for the family while the brother when he gets married he has to pay for everything. 2.When a man gets married, he has to pay dowry to his wife and the amount is as much as she wants. She can also ask for a mountain made out of gold. In this case, again the Man is giving money to women . 3. Also when you get divorced, the husband has to pay money to his wife. And the amount is set while they get married in the marriage contract. (the amount can be as much as she wants ) So in conclusion the men have to pay in every other situation to the women while the women have no obligation to pay for anything and they are having money from different occasions. It ain't like they only gets wealth by inheritance. So, what's wrong if a sister gets half of the amount of his brother from father?

I'm a historian for the Woman's AirForce Service Pilots (WASP WW2) and those gals not only did the same job as the men, but many of them did those jobs better. And they were a big piece of the puzzle of using our women during the war, that allowed us to beat the Nazis and Japanese militaries.

I have never liked the idea that a man that confesses to " working diligently to recruit army officers from Pakistan to take down western governments and their allies in military coups" should be rewarded with a lucrative position on a western radio program (LBC) telling the rest of us how we should be living our lives. This man Nawaz served 5 years in prison for his extremist activities against the west and was defended at his trial by none other than our other jihadi in a suit, London mayor Sadiq Kahn . You couldn't make it up!

I don`t know where the caller gott that "she should not be bruised" from but in one of the main Hadiths Aisha brought a muslim wife who was so badly bruised that her bruises had turned green to Mohammed telling him that her husband had beaten her and Mohammed took the side of the husband telling the wife to go back to her husband and submit to him. Sahih Bukhari (72:715)

Absolutely despise this angry little man-child. You can't help how you're brought up, but it is your responsibility to look around and see if what you were taught holds up. And when you live e.g. in the UK, you should look around and see that women having less rights than men is simply not true, desired or lawful.
