Happened to me, i am so used to being the clown among my friends so when i came out everyone thought i was messing with them like i usually do and they were kind of waiting for me to tell them i got them, but when i didn't they realized i wasn't joking and i was actually coming out to them. That is how i came out to my friends.
They way he looked to them for their approval at 1:20 is such a real moment because no matter how thick your skin is or how much you pretend not to care, coming out to people you care about is scary af.
I had someone tell me why i didn't come out to them sooner, it was because i knew them since we were kids. i lost friends i knew for several years when i came out, some several months. Friends who after i came out wanted nothing to do with me. Losing a friend who i know less, hurts less but coming out to someone i known for almost my whole life is terrifying, the prospect of losing them or them hating you is scary. coming out to family, not knowing how your parents or siblings will react is even scarier, the people who are supposed to love you turning against you is terrifying.
Mac not coming out was one of the longest recurring things in IASIP's history. So I was genuinely surprised that this was dropped in to close out the episode.
Good afternoon from England. This came ‘recommended’. Never heard of the series. But what a well written ‘out the box’ scene. Now going to @^@ the whole series, particularly Mac’s character.
I'm so happy for you! You get to enjoy the entire series with fresh eyes. You only get to do that once in a lifetime.. unless you have dementia. God I hope to have dementia one day.
It's kinda sad that the gang are supposed to be the worst people on earth and there's a good 30% of America who aren't acting (and aren't funny) that are more bigoted than our gang.
Frank "saved" Mac by calling him the F word, so he wanted compensation, at least half of the ticket. Charlie thinks he saved him because he kicked him, pushing him away from the piano falling.
He wasn’t gay in the early seasons but throughout the show it’s hinted that he is, but just not open and honest about it. This scene is from like season 14 I think. So it took a while before he fully came out
@@mcenter94 so if it’s a gay show. But one main character is straight. It’s a straight show now? What if one character is bi? Is it a bi show? Or how about every character is straight but you have one asexual. Is it an asexual show? Idk why people are scared of girls kissing girl s
@@thugvida if you’re looking for a definition: it’s a show where majority of main characters is straight and gay character can’t have equale on-screen time as the straight character. also no trans.
@@mcenter94 I’m 100% sure you’ve enjoyed media with gay people in it. And it’s not until the fact you learn they kiss girls or kiss boys. Is what changes your enjoyment of the media? She so you’re on of THOSE ppl. And no trans? White chicks was a good movie. Mrs. Doubtfire. Mulan.
@@jackgrock4248 HAHAHAHHAHA brother you people do NOT know what “satire” means, y’all use it for anything. and yes, satire can still be corny, it’s not a shield from criticism. so can the fact they’ve been building this up “since forever” you absolute weirdo
