I genuinely love how Mac has grown through the years. He started out as a young, boisterous teen playing garage rock throughout his Makeout Videotape days and has evolved into this chill, 30 year old dad who has learnt a few things about life and still continues to shred however with a much more personal, jazz performance
I love how genuine Mac is. You can tell he really loves music and performing. He shows love to his band mates/friends and makes everyone feel welcomed. It's awesome to see how much fun he has up there! It's something I really admire about him. He doesn't take himself seriously and I just think it's the coolest thing.
This was just on PBS last weekend and he puts on a really great show. You never hear a crowd on that show completely silent and listening to every word he sings.

I’ve listened to this performance so many times at this point but I only noticed now that at the very end when Mac and the boys are done playing you can hear the track "Talking" from Haruomi Hosono’s cult classic Watering A Flower. Goddamn Mac really adores Haruomi haha. Legendary performance, my favorite Mac’s ever done
I like this down homey musicianship, although I also appreciate the shows where Mac is walking around with a bottle of Jameson and not a guitar. Nice to see all the love from Austin for the band.
i wonder if some day, mac, joey, pierce and pit will hang out together and remember the old times when they were a band,,, miss those guys so much. this band sounds tight tho
