Happy 2024! You remind me of a combination of my uncle’s wife and a very patient lady I used to visit at the Revlon counter when I was between 17 and 18. No, we don’t want to aspire to be an instagram IT girl or a supermodel. We’re just normal women wanting to look and feel a bit more fresh ❤️

I'm surprised you haven't tried Mac Studio Fix fluid foundation. It stays, all day, covers everything and soaks up oil but is still good for older and drier and oily skins. I love it. I never have to try any other foundation but I do just because I love makeup so much. Their powders are the best too. I've noticed that when you put your foundation on that you don't concentrate on one area at a time and you skip all over the place which leaves a very patchy and doesn't cover as well. Watch your latest video and you do it in that one too. Just start on your forehead and really buff it in lightly and then move onto the cheek and really pay attention to it instead of jumping from one area to another before fully covering and paying attention to the area. It really helps. I also never wear satin or shimmer shadows because my eyes will look crepey so only matte shadows. Your channel is wonderful.

Hi Sue I didn’t even notice the name change till you pointed it out 😂. I just clicked on it in my subscription feed as I saw the picture. I prefer normal unfiltered videos tbh - it’s normal to have lines and texture in our fifties. I’m not trying to stay young forever but just trying to continue to look like me. I have always had an expressive face and each line is a sign of a life lived with thankfully more laughter than tears. Onto Mac. I have only really dabbled in Mac a little bit tbh. When it was THE in thing the customer service on counter was atrocious and put me right off. In the last couple of years I’ve ventured back to it and I love the F&B foundation for my dry skin. I did try the newer one shown (my nearest shade is NW5), but I prefer the F&B. I bought the reformulated Dior F&B instead of the new Mac btw. Unfortunately the Mac lipstick changed colour on me and everything turned peach aka orange, but that’s true of many brands unfortunately. Best wishes x

@@Fifty-sense Hi Sue get a sample of the new one I think. It’s good for dry skin but going by comments is very different to the original. The shades are also different so you may need rematching done. I’m not sure it will be that good on oilier areas now but truthfully get a sample x

Great video, Sue. I so appreciate you do not alter anything about yourself. I am all for it. Your channel name change makes a lot of sense. May I ask what eye brush you used to stamp your crease and lid colours on? Brushes are often quite confusing and can make a huge difference to the final look.

Hi Kate. Thank you for your lovely comment. I have a brush video coming out in Feb, where I will go into more detail. The brush I used in my crease is firm but soft, with a wide flattish head, instead of being tapered. It's brilliant for one and done eyeshadow looks.
