Everything he does seems so pre calculated but at the same time off the cuff and drew in the dirt great mix of speed athlecism and intelligence his pass and shot fakes are really understated
Dude can ball I’ve been following him since his high school days. He can ball that’s a fact but the league is different, to be a starter you gotta be ELITE especially at PG. I think he will get a start bc they know now they can sell jerseys and I hope that he takes advantage of that opportunity, bc if he’s just average he will prob be benched. He can’t move around like a korver bc players like that are ELITE at a very specific thing, he needs to be elite.
Mac is so slept on I think it’s because his height people thought he wasn’t going to make the league but I personally think mac could be a good maybe even great in the league I’ve watched this kid since high school and he can shoot , dunk , pass he has the full package just a little short but I always knew he’d go all the way bro is a demon on that court and he can play with the top dogs and still hold his on he’s like a Steve nash of our generation the teams that passed on him are going to be upset in a couple years if he actually gets a shot 💯
@@DG_editz935 I think he’s been adapting more into a playmaker of course in high school he was definitely demolishing teams and going crazy but it’s not gone work like that in the nba where you got players that are just as good if not better you gotta adapt and I think he’s been doing that 💯💯
He says in the opening what do you think about Mac. I think if he was black he would have been a first round draft choice and been able to grow from the NBA game right away instead of having to drink around for two or three years.
This dude is the real deal. So far he's had to play so hard just to prove he belongs that he's had a couple of injuries. I think once he settles in he's going to surprise a lot of people. Maybe a starter, or even a sixth man. But as long as he's getting paid to play ball I think he'll be a happy man. Fun to watch for sure!
I am a Pacers fan. We have a backup PG who I love to watch TJ McConnell. I love the guy but I can tell you Mac has a ton more skills and abilities than TJ and TJ has been on the roster here for years. They need to give this kid a chance, he is more than just a dunk contest winner. He is a baller.
I don't get why someone doesn't bring him up. Just for his athletic ability. I know his defense is not very good, but he makes plays. Not to mention he would bring in the fans, more money for the team. Try him out for a season. If it don't work. Oh well. I think his game is perfect for NBA. I think he'll do better in the league.
The highlights from these games are insane considering the pressure on him in this years summer league... Offense, defense, and always looking to create for his team.
I see a bit of Larry Bird in McClung with his play style and pure athletic ability. Hope he gets the chance he deserves now that he's proved he belongs in the NBA.
For some reason he is being kept out of the league. I watched him play in person in high school. I live in Alabama and played at Alabama for 1 1/2 years. Kept hearing about this “prodigy” up in Virginia. When I saw him he had 51 points and I thought he could play in the league (and contribute) then.. Not sure why this guy isn’t a starter in the league now but hopefully now he will get his shot…
As a Bay Area resident and a long time Warriors fan I closely watched his stint in this past year’s summer league. He regularly made impact plays for his team, and he scored in a variety of ways. His ball handling and passing were also above average. He also brought an energy to his teammates and a heightened level of excitement to the crowd. The Warriors (in my opinion) dropped the ball on not properly recognizing this young man’s talent. He was the rookie of the year in the G league so you cannot say that his showing in the summer league was a fluke. I hope that the Sixers or another team give him an extended opportunity to play on the court so that his talent can finally be showcased at the NBA level where it belongs!
His bounce makes up for his lack of height. He is only one inch shorter than Steph! He is point guard material for sure! As long as he doesn’t think that iso-ball is the answer and keeps giving high IQ ball feeds to the other scoring players when it is most advantageous for scoring! The Warriors do not want, nor need a Kyrie or a James Harden on their team!
Golden States mgmt will be making a huge mistake not securing Draymond…he is easily worth keeping because as of now he is one of one…there are zero Draymond clones and he is a part of GS championship chemistry…Draymond is the reason they didn’t need KD to continue winning, mainly just the core Draymond, Steph, Klay…the whole trio is most important, not one is more or less important than the other and that balance will always be super competitive…additions like Poole, Wiggins, Wiseman, Kuminga, top to bottom of their roster is pretty flawless…GS is a dream team right now but, Draymond leaving will upset the balance and the East cannot be ridiculed…there are legitimate threats on the east and Draymond is an enforcer/bodyguard that if you think about it he is right now one of ☝️ because a beat up GS is the champions again…
This guy was ballin throughout the Summer league. McClung looked like one of those guys who’ll come out of nowhere off the bench and just terrorize your team for two mins with energy. I guess McClung-Wiseman the new dynasty!!!!
Bob Myers and Steve Kerr know what they're doing. Just imagine how good he will be with the Warriors coaching staff moulding his talents into their system? I predict Mac and Wiseman/Kuminga getting that rim running pick-and-roll happening. I'm pumped for next season.
Just give this guy a fucking contract. People want to see him play. I repeat, PEOPLE WANT TO SEE HIM PLAY. Isn't this supposed to be about the fans to some extent? You know, the people paying to keep their lights on?
Mac should look at GP2 for inspiration to keep working hard and never give up. GP2 finally got his chance w/the Warriors at age 28/29. They're about the same height but obviously Mac is younger if he can stay motivated and keep improving his game am sure he'll find a team in the league to eventually shine on.
Only way a team will give him a true shot is if teams start to lose pg's to injuries for long periods of time. How long do you wear and tear his body to try to make it to the league will be the question all players are 1 injury from never being the same again surely after the dunk contest win an owner would notice he would put azzes in seats and sale a lot of jerseys even coming off the bench he's is a huge name
Summer league means nothing. It's all new draftees and G-League prospect players. Mac's real test is going to be in preseason with the Warriors. Either he is so impressive the Warriors sign him to a regular season rookie contract or he doesn't impress and it's back to the G-League, this time with the Warriors G-League team. If he makes the team he will be last on the shooting guard depth chart with three players ahead of him. Pretending he is going to be an all star is just silly because Golden State is last year's NBA Champion 🏆. The Mac fanboy RU-vid hype train needs to get a grip. If he makes that team as a bench warmer, he has literally maxed out his achievements and potential. At that point I will applaud his efforts for going much farther than I expected. I hope he is successful but the realist in me kind of doubts it.
It's not an all-or-nothing or an either/or for Mac McClung. They have this thing called a 2-way contract, which allows you play up to 50 NBA games while maintaining a home base in the G-League. The Golden State Warriors signed Mac to an Exhibit 9 contract for training camp. These types of contracts are either waived at the end of camp, or converted to either a 2-way or standard full roster deal. If Mac gets a 2-way contract out of this, that is a win for him, and more of an opportunity than he got his rookie season. I think it could be the final springboard he needs to break into the league. 💁🏻♂️🏀
@@grahamchan6327 You guys need to quit comparing Mac to players like Curry and Caruso. He's not nor will he ever be on the same level as either of those players.
@@TuNnL Safe bet just like in LA Mac ends up right back in the G-League. Coaches and GM's don't tend to like messing with the chemistry of a team that just won the NBA championship the previous year and for what, to make Mac fanboys happy? If he does get in fine. If he doesn't hIs likelihood of making an NBA regular season roster goes down not up. He really needs to impress in this preseason. If he doesn't like in LA, he'll get the reputation of just falling a little bit short of NBA level talent and then interest in him will be done. That's a whole bunch of pressure to excel in preseason, with a potential NBA career on the line.
Wow I give the warriors an F as a matter of fact the whole NBA, for why the F@$k was he not signed after that kind of showing in the summer league smh much respect to McClung he is that guy!!
Been a fan since his Highschool days. Thing is…. Yes!!! He’s the real deal. No BS fake swag. This kid never stops working on his game. He has always overcome obstacles.
Where's that coach at that talked shit about him in HS and said he's not going anywhere LMAO... This is a more athletic and consistent Jason Williams, even rocking his #55 😎
