+L_Crow2 It's a reference to how the pharaohs and kings of ancient Egypt used to be buried with their gold and possessions, as apposed to giving it away in a will for example. The line is just really really dope in my opinion. Every time I hear it, it gets me lol
@@EternalGrey420 those 17 mill can easily be from people coming back to this song, no one mentions this song when they talk about mac. thats why its underrated
All the best rappers are usually dead. Is a shame that he was correct. And that he was one of the best. It forever sucks that the music that you grew up with and What got you through hard times will never be fully completed
I'll always laugh at the time I had this CD in my truck. Had to take my mom to work, and had this turned down so low that all you could really hear was a little snare from the beat. She turned it up right as the hook dropped. She was mortified, I nearly had to pull over from laughing too hard.
asdf if youve never tried shrooms or lsd. I ASSURE YOU you are missing out on an amazing thing. The first time i did shrooms at 19 i just kept thinking holy fuck i wish i did this sooner like 15-16
Maybe if you listen to the radio. If you Look for it tho rap is spreading into art form where completely different types of artists can be successful. No longer need to be a gangster and rap about the same shit as everybody else. Avian proves that
I'm from an Era of rap when lyrics were what sold records now beats and hooks sell records. Keep It simple, something people can sing along to and boom! A hit. I like Kendrick, J.Cole,G easy, Pusha T. Jeezy, Rittz even Wale but he's just too smart for most to understand. Just sad how its changed.
+Hugh Mungus I agree with you man. Nowadays all you need is a banging beat to sell records. No substance whatsoever. Fortunately, there's still some artists that care about their lyrics. You should check out The Underachievers, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, or even Mick Jenkins.
Was lucky enough to see him 4 times. Each show was incredible and unique. Saw him with Chiddy Bang, Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Wiz Khalifa, Earl Sweatshirt, Wale, Kendrick, Chance, and more and he always had the best performance. RIP to a great musician 😢
P3NGU1N07 it could just be an Albert Hoffman reference since he first started feeling the effects of LSD while riding his bicycle. Also why the effects get greater as time progresses as it's a trip coming on.
This sound is it. I didn't give you a chance in the past MAC. Until i realized I was liking all your songs without knowing it on pandora. Now I'm a huge fan. Keep doin what your doin homie. Your there man.
I think so too - naturally I would have thought that my favorite rapper would be eminem or lil wayne....but listening to mac's entire discography and unreleased songs..... Mac's gotta be my favorite!!
Ear does songs wit him all the time so you're not half wrong but idk about him actually being in OF. OF is a group of friends that happen to make music together rather than a group of musicians
uhhh I hear what your saying but asher roth was basically a one hit wonder xD mac's party songs at least made history with Blue slide park doing it independent, but yeah this trippy mac is dope
@brandon Reid that's definitely true. Asher Roth sucks. I was just saying old Mac had that college white boy flow, but now he's definitely changed his whole approach and is a lot better than he use to be IMO
Kyle Quiriconi You seem like one of the people who just judge Asher on his "I Love College" track but haven't listened to his mixtapes like Pabst and Jazz or The Greenhouse Effect vol. 1.
This music video is absolutely the best when you're high. Although I saw a comment about someone wanting to squad up and watch this after dropping acid. That must be so chill too.
+CTODGhost oh yeah my bad i should've specified acid, i'm high rn and this video's bangin lol, and btw don't EVER watch Castaway trippin, when the plane dropped out the sky i freaked the fuck out lmao
Trey D yea true. i was 13 listening to this record, sounded so effortless and fun-sad to me cuz i was a kid. i now know this was mac's darkest time in his life
@@gawdspeed WMWTSO wasn't. Faces definitely was his rock bottom but only personally. The music was fire. This right here was arguably when he was on top of the world. His career peaked mainstream at GOOD AM. btw I also loved WMWTSO. might be my favorite project. Hard to decide
Chuck a fire producer like i never heard a beat like this before. I feel like cool kids kinda made that odd future sound and they don’t get credit for it at all
"All the best rappers are usually dead" R.I.P Mac Miller, the master' Abstract rapper, the one that rejuvinated my mind with compassion and laughter, thank you for healing my soul, rest in piece MC.
The first time I watched this video I thought I was on acid since the visuals are so trippy. Not a schoolboy q fan but I give him his credit he did good. Mac snapped as always
He really should, he has ties to a lot of the members. On SZA's new album a lot of the songs were produced by him, and obviously the features with ScHoolboy Kendrick and Ab Soul, and his friendship specifically with ScHoolboy. As a Mac fan from the moment I heard his music, right around when K.I.D.S came out, I've liked him, and I would love to see him in T.D.E because every artist they have signed have been really good.
I FUCKIN love the hook haha and Qs flow is just great. "Fa@@ot ass judge hating on me cuz my money straight" hahahaha .. I love being ripped and coming to this song ever so often. That line makes me cry laughing every time.
The visuals are so sick. And the beat is hella quirky but hella slaps, it's dope. And I'm stoked to see Q blowin up. TDE has been the shit for years but they were gettin hella slept on. they're finally gettin some recognition and that's awesome but fuck man, i really hope k dot, q and soul don't sell out. Kendrick has already made a track with drake.. :/ keep it black hippy! Haha
