Mac os monterey is the latest version of apple's mac os and it's not really worth the hype. Although it brings a lot of exciting new ui and features, mac os monterey bluetooth issues are deal breaking.

One would expect a $2 Trillion company to provide the necessary resources to properly Beta test such significant issues. I had been contemplating doing the update to Monterey. I hadn’t done exhaustive research but this is enough of a show stopper for me to wait. Thanks for the info.

oh yes, do not do it!. my bluetooth says is connected but it isn't. I have tried all the terminal set up bluetooth and other videos, and nothing work. I can't believe Apple can't fix this problem, being such an expensive brand.

Having same problem connects and disconnects. Then if it does connect it plays out of the actual mac speakers instead of bluetooth. It takes like 5-10 mins to connect the bluetooth and fighting with it and itll connect if im lucky. TOTAL GARBAGE. APPLE FIX THIS YALL SUCK

Same issue here. @apple It's impossible to connect my headphones any more. It works 1time out of 100. Very disappointing (2019 16" MacBook Pro).

Same here - running 12.1 on a 16" M1 Max 64/4TB - total Bluetooth mess - AND- it´s the same with iOS 15.2.1 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB. whereas the implications on the iPhone are much more severe - it nearly renders the iPhone useless for a lot of my daily tasks - including Carplay, Car telephone usage, Musicplaying on Headphones etc.

@@CachedOut On my old Samsung A90 5G I have a list of 12 Bluetooth devices that work flawless (on Android11). I was taking the plunge (and investment) to get a better and smoother experience when I fully convert to the Apple ecosystem. But what I got is only stress and frustration. Not to mention that Apple is forcing me to quit Google pay and use Apple pay- because they have ditched the Google Pay app from Appstore "because of quality issues". Would I buy Apple again after this ? Nope. Unfortunately my Phone provider where I got the iPhone from a contract prolongation refuses to take it back. 1800 € for this phone - and it´s a paperweight right now.

@@CachedOut Hi Urgent!Major system security breach MAC OS Big Sur and Monterey 12 and 12.1 System vulnerability.WiFi has security holes!.Can crash the system remotely.Restart the computer.When the system is not logged in and cannot be hacked.As long as you log in to the system Menubar ICON looks like is off!. My computer is 2017 MacBook. Can you solve it?ASAP Thank you. Best Regards.

I had a feeling updating to Monterey was a bad idea. Now my bluetooth doesn't work. I found a thread on the Apple dev forums and this has been an issue for over 8 months! If QC is this bad, I'm rethinking my decision to buy a new 14" MBP.

I recently bought the MP14, software is awful after I updated to Monterey out of the box. The device drains fast, wakes up on its own due to Bluetooth connectivity. I regret buying the machine, never thought MacBook would be this bad.

I'm running Sonoma 14.5 on a $4K MacBook Pro M2 Max 16" and my Bluetooth is terrible. Audio is LAWAYS choppy on my Bose Revolve Soundlink II, Logitech Craft KB and Logo MX Master 3S Mouse and I am furious, that I have to go wired. I bought the MacBook pro and an Air to be portable and streamline. I had Hackintoshes since SL Intel, due to lack of funds to buy a cheese grater! Was proud as hell to get back to Macs. Silicone works like magic on FCPX. Can I buy a more powerful TB Bluetooth dongle?

i use 3rd party earbuds and in zoom meetings it will randomly mute my mic? like not touching anything mid convo and my voice will just cut out forcing me to quickly switch to the internal mic to continue talking. The earbuds will still output audio and all fine but the input needs to be internal. very strange!

01/22/2022. I tried to delete the plist and deleted all the pre-existing devices. Now I have no headphone, no mouse, no speaker, no nothing showing on my bluetooth search. What do I do? Any one figured out a solution?? Thanks!

I know this is a year old, but just in case you're still looking at comments... I'm running Monterey 12.6.3 and have had bluetooth connectivity issues since updating to Monterey. I use Sony WH-H910N headphones, Logitech MX Master 3S mouse, Magic Keyboard with number pad and Apple Trackpad all on bluetooth. When using headphones audio becomes choppy after a few seconds. If I disconnect keyboard and trackpad choppiness goes away. Mouse has no effect. Curious to know your thoughts.

am i the only one who can't even play anything through my Bluetooth ? i mean my macbook is connected to the bluetoth speaker but they don't act like it, the music supposed to play through the bluetooth speaker but it keeps on playing through my mac speaker, i just wish there is a way to fix it, despite using so many comman onterminal, nothing works

in my side, the built in camera is totally not working after updating it to 12.1 I am not sure what the heck is just happened. i tried to reset the SMC, force quit through terminal, restart the mac but nothing literally nothing is working. i am kinda exhausted right now.

That’s so annoying. This is the first time I’ve I heard of the camera issues. I wonder what else macOS 12 broke.

My bluetooth wasn't connecting properly on the previous OS, so I chose to update to Monterey to see if that would fix it....yeahhh, now my bluetooth is completely greyed out and won't let me turn it on at all. I've been through all the troubleshooting forums advice to fix it, but nothings worked...

stuff blue tooth I am just working with USB mouse and keys, $20, now I have decided to just get a good USB keys and mouse, the mouse I have was $4 and is better tham the magic mouse

Can't even use Bluetooth Explorer anymore. Apple dropped support for aptX and for what??? Can't bypass via Terminal. It's either AAC or SBC now, and not all wireless earbuds support AAC...

Hey Josué, yeah it's still happening on 12.1. I updated hoping it would be fixed but no luck yet. Not sure if it may have to do with the Macbook year. I am running a 2019 pro
