My grandpa always kept a bar of Ivory soap in his tool box and dragged wood screws through it. Helps from splitting wood. Not really a mechanic tip, but I have a bar in my box to this day.

Bill is right about the wax deal with the drills. Machinist been using wax forever. It especially works great when drilling aluminum, keeps the aluminum from sticking to the drill and gumming up the work piece.

I love the Expert Impact socket sets. I have probably 6 sets. The 3/8 are almost stubby. When they’re on promo it’s hard to beat them.

I missed that big tap and die set on eBay a while back. Some guy outbid me by $20 and got it for $160 and change. I was sick because it looked brand new, no missing pieces and the case was perfect. I'm feeling a little sick thinking about it.

Clay you need that upholstery pry bar set! I bought a set a yr ago. Only one I use is the long one. The short one is still new in the tray.

It’s good to see you guys getting some Mac tools for a change 👌🏻 I asked that question a couple of months back “why do you not use mac tools” and your answer was “we don’t have a Mac dealer” lol now you have 2 or 3 at once 👌🏻😆 haha! Good stuff, I personally prefer Mac tools, but that being said I prefer the Snap-On ratchets and the flank drive plus wrenches. 👌🏻 but everything else I prefer the Mac stuff!! Keep up the good videos mate, I really enjoy watching them 👍🏻

I was eyeing that same 1/4 drive socket set last week. Then my air hammer took a puke and I had to buy one of them instead. Oh well, I did get the air hammer and a set of chisels on a left over promo my dealer had. I do like the fact that my MAC guy will sell the promo deals until they are gone even if the deal is done according to the flyer date.

I have that long Mac panel popper. It’s usually the perfect length for those recessed clips. Works great. Have the standard length one too in the older style handle. Actually found it in a car. Don’t use it much as I already had a Snap On one that I like using. Interestingly, the blades on the Macs are made in the USA by Vim Tools and the handles are Taiwan. So even though they say Taiwan, there’re good ole USA steel and craftsmanship.

Got a Mac guy that decided to stop at my shop, his truck does not come close to Mikes truck. lol but he watches your channel and always trying to push what you buy on me lol... I bought the expert universals and love them so far, had to use them today. Great price for that line of tools.

I have the 1/2” Milwaukee hammer drill and about 3-4 times we used it the trigger messed up. Still works but I need to send it off. We have had some issues with Milwaukee failing on us lately

They sell a specialty lubes wax, I used to use it on my hole saws, just cant remember the damn brand. It's really good stuff doesnt sling crap everywhere

Do what snap on does to warranty a screwdriver pull off the handle and reverse it yourself if it's breaks there not to much

If he heated up the shaft and pulled on the handle it would work. On the mac mini screwdriver it has a hard plastic handle and the snap on screwdriver are soft handles so they are easy to remove shafts.

Hey clay I know you guys use a lot of power tools, but do you have any experience with a torque multiplier? I work on my on vehicles, not a mechanic, but I'm coming across a job that's around 500 ft/lb and my impact is not strong enough. If you have input on torque multipliers I'd love to hear it

I wish MAC would brand the DeWalt stuff with the MAC name if they're gonna sell it on the truck. for the price you pay on the truck, you should get the MAC name... just my two cents...

I agree with you. My Mac cordless impact wrench has “powered by DeWalt” on the battery. So it is basically a DeWalt tool with the Mac logo.

Does anyone have the Mac ratcheting screwdriver set that can share how they like it. I've been trying to decide which to go with from Mac and Snap On. Mac has the better deal and was hoping they were as good as Snap On's. Its hard to find a quality ratcheting screwdriver that doesn't cost a fortune. Thanks

Got a question. Other day one of my tractor brakes started smoking. They got real hot. Mechanics changed s cam bushing, new brake pads, new slack adjuster and brake chamber. I adjust my brakes and stop the truck and the brake goes closer to brake drum causing them to smoke every time I stop I have to adjust them from preventing smoking. It’s just one service brake. I’m going to change the valve that goes to brake chamber. What do you think issue is? Thanks

Matcos new Toyota oil filter socket is even more nice because its for use on 4 6 8 cylinders with the just the one adapter. Matco part number TOY117

Milwaukee keyless drill chucks are garbage. Pretty much the worst in the industry. Tons and tons of complaints of them slipping and ripping drill bit shanks up. Their newer releases have been great but i'd never suggest a Milwaukee drill.
