On this Episode of #TBWD, a bottle of Macallan Quest Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Speyside region, bottled at 40% ABV, is opened and reviewed by Colin and Malcolm. A Travel Exclusive release, this particular bottle came from Aruba. A clear example of a Macallan that highlights many of the classic Macallan themes; but also leaves Colin and Malcolm wondering and knowing how much more Macallan can do with their bottles. Great video, it tempts me to be there with you guys. I do have a question: I have not tried any macallan before, do you think it will better begin with the 12 yo double cask, 12yo triple cask or the Quest ? Thank you!

Hello and Thanks! You ask a very difficult question. The Quest is such an easy drinker with quiet subtlety. The 12yo ranges begin to show the depth of what full Sherry maturation can yield. If you can find a glass before a bottle purchase, that may make the most sense. That being said, if I come across a Quest again, at a reasonable price, I will buy it. Cheers!

Outstanding as always guys! Macallan is generally out of my price range but I have bought a couple of bottles along my journey and really enjoyed them. I may have to look around locally to see who offers Macallan's and at what price point, Thank you for reminding me old favorites should be revisited every now & then. Cheers...
