Hi was that a flatfish you were fighting , wonder what it could be with that much power to hold to the bottom. Think you should have loosened drag and make line slack to let him move off bottom. Then quickly strike him hard and put on the pressure.

Yes going to return there soon. Sunday ledges so far but things change. Remember I'm at the mercy of my lift....lol.

Hi Mr T, great video as always. I don't understand Law Inforcement, we specifically ask them earlier this year if we can braai on the beach nd they say yes as long as you use a proper braai stand like u guys use and not directly on the sand its OK. Now we can't braai on the beach. That's is part of fishing nd enjoying the day. 🤔🤔🤔. What's the amount of fine if I may ask?

Hi Terence, We should find out the correct reason the fine was issued. We all want to comply but we also want to enjoy the day. Where are braais allowed? Broken Road??

@@troypotgieter4577 there are designated braai areas at macs...top of parking area from what I've seen. More risk of fire danger up there than down at the water in my opinion. I've heard from numerous people that we are not allowed to braai on beach at macs. As for broken rd, the new sign shows no fires or gas braais...I'm quite ok with not braaing anymore. Bummer yes but no i have to produce fish to show . .bwahahaha.

Western cape is becoming ludicrous with their laws. Co Tai Ed fire should never be an issue on the beach. Seriously. On a different note spotted grunter and Steenbras are not the same fish. Steenbras is also k own as pig nose grunter. Spotted grunter is a different fish 😉

I'm opinion it's fine. Been fishing there consistently for a few years now. Never had issues. Please note ....common sense must prevail. Don't make yourself a target. Never fish alone...at least fish next to or near other fishermen. Sunset, you gotta there. Weekends are great there. Plenty fishermen, you will be surprised.
