Portugal cedeu Macau à China. E hoje Portugal ainda espera que a Espanha faça ao mesmo em relação a Olivença. O nosso território histórico na Europa deve ser recuperado. Portugal na Europa deve estar íntegro.
Since Macau was ceded in perpetuity to Portugal and not bound to a lease like most of Hong Kong, they should have had a referendum before simply handing the territory and its people over to China.
It would be unnecessary. The Chinese influence was bigger than the Portuguese, despite the cultural heritage from Portugal that still exists today. Most of the people would vote for China integration or even independence. For the sake of future relations between Macau, Portugal and China, i think this was the wisest solution.

Triste, sem dúvida. Mas sobretudo me parecem mais lágrimas ditadas pela frustração de nada poder fazer para evitar a tristeza. E não são apenas os rostos "ocidentais" que o mostram, muitos rostos "orientais" também mostram bem o que lhes vai na alma. Mas os macaenses, os portugueses luso-chineses de Macau resistirão e, com eles, a alma da lusofonia permanecerá em Macau.

@Microglia1 , I'm a real white Portuguese and I don't believe that the Portuguese people is a "notorious racist". It's not true at all. There are some racist portuguese, but most people don't.
@britainmal Unfortunately Portugal has abandoned colonial system in 1975 after a revolution there. You may remember Angloa, and nearly all other Portuguese colonies suddenly went independent back in 1975 without any warning any Portuguese settlers and loyalists who were then forced out back home. Macau almost returned to China in that year but new Portuguese government realised that the people there were fearful of Communist rule so delayed return to China until 1999.

China is more stable than India not because of reglious problems, my dear, China has 56 races, very different religions, like muslims, Buddhist ,Daoist and Christians, and very different culture, and another big problem,China's population. If China has no a powerful government , those all will be deadly problems for China.

"Colônias" ao "estilo português" não são rentáveis, pelo contrário, são fontes de despesas e problemas. O capitalismo financeiro não precisa de "colônias estilo português". Ingleses, holandeses, franceses, belgas, nunca tiveram "colônias de verdade" pois o que estes chamam de "colônias" eram em verdade invasões a territórios portugueses e espanhóis, que se tornaram meros entrepostos e bases de apoio de PIRATAS que " trabalhavam " para estes países "anglo-saxões" e França.
Hong Kong is British¡¡¡¡ Macau is Portuguese¡¡¡¡¡ Someday they will be again british and portuguese, in a near future, and if is not near, in 2047 people will not want reintegration and will strike so they will be british and portuguese colonies again :D
@britainmal Are you sure??? the GDP of Macau is only 11 thousand dollar, but after China rule Macau, today Macau people's GDP is 31 thousand dollar , how can you compare Portugueese with we Great China, China is No.2 GDP country in the world, China is much stronger than Portugueese in economy.
