Just picked this thing up yesterday and I'm loving it! I have the 16GB/1TB configuration in starlight and it's replaced both my A12z iPad Pro 11" and my MacBook Pro 16" from 2019. Rocking this and the iPad mini for my productivity setup.
Watching from my 15" Air. literally my dream macbook and a brilliant first Mac. Being in the UK, Even with 16gb of ram its a £600 difference to the 14 pro. It's gonna be such a popular Mac as many prefer larger displays
Wedge was the word you were looking for and yes, even I absolutely hated that design and went with a Yoga to have a uniform chassis and soon after a few months Apple releases this beauty..
Our studio upgraded from 2019, 27" iMac's to the 15" M2 MacBook Air, M2 with 16GB ram, which runs rings around 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 with 32GB ram. I mainly work with Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Foleon, so I never needed the power of the MacBook Pro, or the price range. The screen is great, no regrets in changing to this laptop.
It looks great but honestly when you have finished configuring it to be future proof(16 GB of ram and perhaps a storage increase) it's so expensive that you might as well try to get your hands on a M1 Macbook Pro.
You never need to configure something to be future proof, just save your money and buy more frequently,. Also, you'd have to 'future proof' the M1 MacBook Pro too and that won't be cheap.
For those who are tall and need an excellent sound system, this is a good choice for those non-professionals. Teenagers, college students, or people with blue collar jobs that like MacBooks.
I find the trackpad too big on the 15” model. Too many missed “right clicks”. This alone steers me to the 13” Air or the 14” Pro. I’d absolutely love a 14.2 inch Air with 120Hz screen.
M1 Pro 14 (10C cpu, 16C gpu) 32gb ram, 1tb ssd for $2150 after tax or M2 air 15 (16gb ram and 512 ssd) for $1700 after tax I’m a new cs student and looking to purchase a new MacBook. Any suggestion please
