To anyone wondering why he changed the fingerprint sensor as well, it's because it has to be paired to the board. The old one wouldn't have worked

I have a weird question for you. What do you think needs to be connected to the logic board other than the usb c ports to allow it to run bare minimum?

Screen so you can see if it turns on. Sometimes with the battery

Great video. I used it to replace my logic board on my M1 A2337. When I power up I hear the apple startup noise but screen is blank. I switched the cable out per the video and the connection looks good. Should I try the cable that came with the logic board instead? Any other ideas? Thanks so much!

Why was there a user and configuration there already if it’s a new logic board? I thought it would’ve been blank since the hard drive is part of the logic board… Is this information saved somewhere else or what’s the explanation?

All the boards have the os installed they would have to make sure it tested

The reason I asked is because I’m about to replace an iCloud locked logic board (with one that’s new) And I worried that there might be some information stored somewhere else in the Mac, outside the logic board, that would then inform the new logic board that “this mac is supposed to be locked” once replaced and would automatically lock the new one. There is no such risk, correct?

Hey Mark, My M1 Air Trackpad and Keyboard does not work once i close the lid/put to sleep. If i restart, starts working until it sleeps again. The problem seems to be since 2019 in all Macbooks till now. Apple Service Center only suggests to replace Logic Board. Please let me know your views on it.

First, I would like to thank you for the exceptional video! I've used your step-by-step and the iFixit tutorial to fix my M1 (broken logic board with 256GB upgraded to a new one with 512GB), but I lost the True Tone option... The only thing that I made different was not to reuse the old display cable. Do you think that not changing the cable was the problem? Or is the screen paired to my old logic board like the Touch ID

@@manu.z. Hi, If my memory doesn’t fail me, I’ve tried to keep the old display cable, but unfortunately the True Tone was gone. I believe that the display is paired with the logic board like Touch ID. In short, keeping or changing the display cable is equal. True Tone will go for good if you change the display and/or the logic board

Can't update to M1 the screen and other parts won't work the battery connector is different.

@@Learner-lq3vu you will lose all data. Unless your able to back it up or already have a backup on a Time Machine. You would need to have your board repaired which is expensive
