MacBook Air is too good for my usage, even. Please measure your work and need realistically. I was one of those people that feel like I NEED the extra, the Pro Max, the Ultra, the Plus; if not it is not good enough. That mindset has lead to many bad financial decision. I was living like I need to drive a train when all I need was a small sedan car.
Bro this video was exactly what I need. Quick wight to the point, and giving everyday examples instead of benchmarks and random bs a normal person won’t even understand
lmao the acceptance that the air is the one you actually grab is hilarious. I had the same thing. I have a 2000$ pc sitting in the other room and its MacBook Air all day lol
Even Tim Cook said on an interview that he uses the MacBook Air more than the Pro. The design is the most important factor, a heavier product is a burden when you have tried the MacBook Air.
Bro your best video yet. I love how casual you are with RU-vid like as if it’s something you do as a hobby yet it’s like you are a professional RU-vidr that does this for a living. Unreal bro. Probably best RU-vidr. You’re gonna be YUGE one day
New here, nice to see the sponsor at the end of a video for a change, the i/o and dual monitor support (with the MacBooks display) is a problem for me personally. But I always tell anyone that asks me about air vs pro (regarding Mac’s) I tell them (even if they want to get into professional stuff like coding or p/v editing 3D rendering…) if you can live without the problems I have just go air like the display you can’t tell the difference unless they are side by side yes peak hdr will be better and 120hz is slightly smoother (no one is anyway gaming on these computers) or the extra 2 minutes you save on a complex edit render… witch doesn’t happen often (if it does your not even considering an air) unless you have an extra $500 just laying around that can’t be used for anything else just go air If you make it this far I’d like the give a nice big thank you for reading my late night online rant. (Oh and let me know if I’ve said anything wrong)
Firstly, thank you for leaving a comment. I really appreciate that. Secondly I 100% agree, especially considering the fact that I can do everything on the air that I can do on the pro and have it performed essentially identical minus slightly longer rendering times in Final Cut Pro and slightly longer compiling times in Xcode and that’s only in some cases
I wish m3 pro could have 15 inch screen . 14 is very small and 16 is bigger. 15 inch is best size you can have on macbook . So i will go with air m3 15 inch
I have both and they both are great. I'm drawn to the Pro because of its brightness and slightly larger size. however, the Air is more nimble for sure. Great video. thank you you again.
Thank you Carson. Great review/comparison again! I definitely am a Pro person. I don’t do heavy editing or programming. But the Pro over the years has replaced my desktop. I do think I’ll keep the 13in Air when traveling or keeping it on hand while going to the coffee shop. The Pro remains my go to computer at home and its video and sound quality are awesome. Take care!!!
I'm heading to medical school soon and looking into MacBooks. Any recommendations on which model would be durable enough to last through 5+ years of intense studying and school work? Also, are there any specific upgrades you suggest for the Macbook?
Im in high school and I have been thinking of getting a MacBook but I can’t decide on which one I should get. I want one that can last me all of high school and most of college. Any recommendations on what I should buy?
Well, all of highschool and most of college is a big ask, but either one of these computers in the video would be able to do it. I would recommend the Pro if you want to have it for as long as possible, but the Air would more than likely be okay too.
Hey, my cousin had his Macbook Pro 2018 for almost 5 years. He said and I quote, "I never saw my laptop laggy or any delay in the apps". When I said that I needed a laptop that would last more than just a couple of years, he said, "Don't even doubt it. Get a MacBook pro... Don't even think twice about it."
after watching lots of reviews to decide into wich I should buy. I liked the most your video. BUT, I plan to stay with the mac for at least 5 years. But I also know the air is going to be enought for my work. (I prefer the big screen). sooo, I stil dont'know wich to buy... rsrsrs
Thank you! I really appreciate that compliment. The macbook Air will be more than sufficient for most tasks 5 years down the road from now. Unless you're doing seriously intense stuff, get the Air!
I am still using Macbook pro 13" 2020 intel i5, I am debating between Macbook pro 14 m3 or Air 13 m3. I mainly use computer for coding and trading. I only play mobile games, and occasionally do family video editing.
I'm really trying to make a decision about these two machines. Currently I use a Macbook pro, but I also just bought a Mac desktop. Just thinking that I don't really need the Macbook Pro since a lot of my work will be done on my desktop. Main use for me is video editing and design with Adobe Illustrator. Any thoughts? Is there a significant price difference?
Thx for the info 😊. I want to get a macbook pro mainly for for smooth 4k editing even if I through a lot at it. However, I don't know if it is wiser to wait for the m4 version to come out in order to get the m3 version cheaper? I am a bit under pressure, and I don't even know when the m4 version would be available to buy? Can you please help? Thanks 😊.
Both are great options that will last a long time but it really just depends what you’re using them for. If you’re not doing anything too demanding like video editing or development then you’re probably smart to save the money with the MacBook Air however, the MacBook Pro is amazing and it just depends on how long you intend on keeping the laptop for.
would you be able to tell me if the apple logo on the back of the screen on both are the same size? weird question, I know. thanks for the video, it made me realize I wanted the pro lol
Hahaha the Apple logo on the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air is the same size. Apple maintains a consistent logo size across its MacBook lineup to ensure brand uniformity and design consistency :)
