This is where Louis Rossman comes in handy. Mike, I would say for education purposes only to inject some voltage on the CPU_CORE coils and check with thermal camera the CPU. The heat footprint in case of a shorted CPU has very distinctive pattern (this is where Sorin comes in handy 😄)

These macbook like to send 12v to the cpu/gpu its just how it is. Most likely nobody has messed it up. I see this frequently in my shop.

Just a suggestion: reprogram the SPIFlash memory (IC 8 pin)...with the apple you never know so I would try it. All the best.

Hallo I have broplem with my laptop Dell Latitude 3390 2-in-1 2018 works perfectly but when I turn it off it suddenly turns on again it turn off only from power switch button I reset to factory reset dose not works I change the Rams and the ssd than I load new windows 11 Not works still same problem please what to do in this Thank you

Could be a issue with the WOL (WakeOnLan) logic (needs to dig into the circuit) or a BIOS issue (reprogramming advised). Regards

inject cpu core voltage and see if there is picture with external power to cpu.

This my friend won't work for sure. :) Without the CPU internal logic working, the P.O.S.T can not be done successful, regardles how suitable i supply the core from external supply. The only clue might come from the consumption and from the heat distribution of the Core.
