Mace Windu vs Palpatine | Animated Fan Film 

Please let me know if you have any suggestions! I would like to make some more of these short cinematics (although hopefully more polished since I had to rush to finish this one by the contest deadline). Would also like to try some Clone Wars stuff too

The biggest tragedy is that I will remember this video as the actual canon because here, the *justice* for *Kit Fisto* is done right!

I love how there is a hint of darkside in Mace’s eyes as he stands alone

This is fucking badass, and it shows Kit Fisto fighting better than the movie. And at the same time showing Darth Sidious as far more Skillful and Powerful than shown in the movies. If possible you should make an entire fight from him using force scream to this ending.

I love that you let Kit Fisto actually fight, he's meant to be a very talented duellist. as well as a dangerous one.

I love the part where Windu looks up and you see the purple glow in his eyes. To me it was like at that moment he started really tapping into Vaapad and truly started cutting loose. So epic!

Very impressed this is how it should have been with kit fisto.

I always loved the way Palpatine switched personas dark and brooding one second , and loving caring face the next in soft tones. Would have been really great to see . a true heel begging for his life only to kill the threat the next second.

I love the Prequels but this captures the mood better than ROTS. Like, I was actually hanging on my seat while they were fighting. The end gives me chills. New subscriber! :)

What people keep forgetting is that there are many different reasons why KF and the others died quickly. Yes, Palpitine was very skillful. But these weren't just run of the mill Jedi. These were Jedi Masters, each of whom excelled in the Force and in fighting. However, at this point the Jedi were basically all but done for. They were scattered throughout the Galaxy fighting continuously and rapidly losing their comrades. They were tired and had been weakened to the point that they could barely even use the Force properly. Even MW mentioned that their ability to use the Force had diminished. On top of that Sidious had spent years at this point corrupting them thru the senate and other means like having multiple factions (Separatists, Bounty Hunters, Mandalorians, etc) all taking their attention. Many of them had become corrupted thru horrifying visions like Anakin started to have and several others. There was treachery in their ranks with many of them turning to the Dark Side like Pong did. Bariss Offee even succumbed to treachery. And on top of that all, Sidious was manipulating everything. Not to mention that Sidious had time and the luxury to keep honing his fighting skills and Force powers. By the time this fight came the Jedi were all but defeated already. MW was able to fight to a standstill but Sidious had to dispatch three others before facing Windu. So perhaps that put them on even ground...MW being tired from constant fighting and battles while DS had already used up energy fighting 3 Masters. This was all planned and executed perfectly. Had Sidious fought head on he would have died. However he played the long game and spent years basically wearing the Jedi down to the point that they were no longer a threat to him.

0:27 This is phenomenal! Proof that Dave needs to re-create the Live Action films in his Clone Wars style and provide additional materials to the established lore, like this!

Epic! Just like the ROTS book with The Clone Wars style Sidious👌🏼 Will there be an extended version of this fight?

I have to wonder if Sidious was genuinely bested by Windu, or if he threw the duel deliberately, perhaps sensing Skywalker's approach, and with that, an opportunity to give him that finally nudge over to the Dark Side.

This is better than any lightsaber duel in the sequels.

the concept of Kit Fisto losing part of his "hair" before dying or the force shown as a shockwave - absolutely amazing!

I love that the music from Maul and Savage Vs Sidious is used

Some details that I like is how Palpatine is clearly dominating every time he clashes with Kit Fisto, with the latter only being able to defend himself for a time until he gets hammered into submission. On the flip side, Palpatine is always shown dodging Kit’s strikes. I think this is a good reference to how Kit’s primary lightsaber form, Form I: Shii-cho, was ill suited for lone opponents of Palpatine’s level since the form’s wide slashes are meant for crowd control and not dueling.

Incredible, at times I thought you were going to show the first-person view of the breaking points (Windu power) in Palpatine. Excellent how you have shown part of the dark power in Windu's gaze and how he manages to match Palpatine's speed and precision with his Vaapad. Well done

Damn, make more please. Really cool stuff here. While a little rough around the edges in some respects, I like how dynamics and diverse all the lightsaber hits are. I bet it was difficult. Well done! My only real complaint is it wasn't longer. Maybe one day. I'd love to see the full scene re-imagined. The fight we deserve.

I love the camera going in and out of focus as Palpatine bears down on Windu.

Nice touch with the changing of the eye color. Would be cool if which ever user taped into a certain aspect of the force, they would get a similar eye change like the sith. Like Obi-Wan with blue eye glow, or Yoda with green eyes.

The ironic part was that while Kit Fisto was still no match for Palpatine in the end and yet still lasted longer than Masters Kolar and Tiin. Using a fighting style not suited for one on one duels no less! I also liked that this matched up very closely to what was told from the novel to Episode 3. Imagine seeing Palpatine cutting off Fisto's head in the film. People would had lost their little minds LOL.

It's amazing would you be open to remaking the entire fight, I'm sure a lot of us would help fund this?

This is why Star Wars looks better animated. Live action can't mimic these force powers seamlessly.

I have never been madly keen on the Mace Windu and Palpatine scene in revenge of the sith, this is more I imagined it would have been. Palpatine took out so many in such a short time that it left me wanting more (and not in a good way). You have done really well here, I’m not a lover of the slow motion parts but I reckon you have shown just how good it could be. Well done…. Ps I would love more Order 66 too.
