Compilation of different messed up "child friendly" moments in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Mostly just torture, brutal deaths, suicide and slave conditioning. All completely child friendly topics and visuals I'm sure
@@eightnickel1513 That's the point. It's meant to be like that, as the war continues (Remember, end of season 7 is Order 66), Anakin, like in the films moves to the dark side. Starting during Episode 2 (before the first battle of Geonosis) when killed the entire Tusken Raider camp...
Wait, if palpatine can choke someone across the galaxy, then why didn’t he just kill the Jedi during sleep or kill anyone that interferes with his plans instead of waiting years to become emperor of the galactic republic?
Because he wanted the public to lose it’s trust in the Jedi and only after years of fighting a war instead of peacekeeping, showing the Jedi’s hypocrisy and making the public believe that the only way to keep them safe was to give up their freedoms and create an unstoppable and all reaching military force.
No.....it was meant for children. And the reason it was successful is because it's the most for children since many kids like its style Common misconception that children wouldn't like violent shows and or that those shows are inappropriate
This entire video, all the thoughts which came to mind were focused on, while yes the clips aren't really optimistic and forgiving, they were just the level of goofy that made it seem kid-tolerant. Perhaps my own views and content I've already consumed have dulled the darker themes, but nothing here stood out as particularly heinous-- HOLY SHIT DID THAT GUY JUST JUMP?! DID THAT ABUSED SERVANT GIRL JUST JUMP???
Clone wars drinking games Take a shot every time ahsoka gets shocked Take a shot every time every time someone gets force choked Take a shot every time some gets decapitated Have fun everyon :)
With the scene with Ahsoka getting shocked by Atai, I already wrote a brief Star Wars Story of where Atai gets killed for torturing Ahsoka. Besides all Slavers deserve the same beating and death deliverance as Leonardo did to Super Shredder in the TMNT 2012 finale
When maul tells kenobi to face him alone and kills those innocent people you can see some of the headless bodies twitch uncontrollably for a second once it pans over to them
The Clone Wars show is for kids. Executions by firing squad and beheading, suicide, people being tortured to death, executing a bunch of innocent people, more beheading, filibusters, government corruption and embargoes, war profiteering, and brainworm parasites. Things kids would totally understand and enjoy
@@MT-zs1rd kinda both tbh Clone Wars is a show that has a target audience of kids. (or TeEnAgErS) it is not an adult show. That doesn't mean the show isn't good.
@@IKhanmakeWAR2 yeah ok it's true, the show is aimed at kids primarily, but some moments (especially in this video) make that quite a questionable point of view. And yeah, your totally right about it being a great show.👏👍
How to make your villains threatening Clone Wars 101: let them actually be effective and kill people, even main characters or reoccurring characters. This will also provide a sense of realism and ground the world. Lessons Rebels forgot.
True. I think they even did this well for General Grievous. Yeah yeah, they retconned him meeting Obi Wan for the first time in Episode 3 by having them fight several times in TCW, but I think that's a small enough detail to retcon in favor of letting us see how much of a menace he was - I think it's a worthy tradeoff.
Also pretty notable that time when he stabbed the guy with the detonator in the back during the early Mandalorian arc. And probably half a dozen others.
@@dankcraft7386 Seasons 1 and 2 had HUGE writing issues. They have a similar sort of issue as The Force Awakens introduced into the franchise - throwing memberberries at you left and right in often shallow ways to win nostalgia points and to distract from writing issues, where if you actually pause and think about what's happening, it falls apart by itself, with practically no effort whatsoever, and makes little to no sense more often than not. (one example in TFA that passes over a lot of peoples' heads, is the boarding pirates basically calling Han Solo a "swindler" as if that somehow means the same thing as "smuggler" which is what he *actually* was in canon. Not all smugglers swindle and not all swindlers smuggle, so it's not even close to making sense. Not to mention the fact that he straight up explicitly says "there's nobody in the galaxy left for you to swindle" - HOW THE F*** could one man swindle every individual in the galaxy? That was not only an incredibly dumb throwaway line, but it also pokes holes in the plot, muddies Han's character, and lends itself towards helping to break an audience member's immersion, if only one were to think about what's happening.) EFAP broke it down really well. The Little Platoon also has some videos on it. But, at least Andor is pretty airtight and well-executed.
This was made before Amphibia, Gravity Falls, Owl House, Ducktales, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, Infinity Train and Ninjago were on TV! I love how they got to Story Driven 1st before all the others, I just Love It!
It wasn't a kid's show, that's the best part about it. Shows for teenagers/young adults were always the best honestly, best balance between serious, epic and comedy. Just like TF Prime and other similar shows from that era.
The Asker nope if you knew more about the lore there are certain moves that are classified as corruption powers (dark side) and light side powers example in knights of the old republic there are certain moves that are classified as dark and light such as force choke=dark side Force persuade= light side
You mean that episode where Ventress works with young Boba and his crew? Yeah that was extremly fucked up. Like holy shit this guy who wanted to merry this young girl was one creepy bastard.
6:56 I’m sorry in advantage but they say it’s a kids show yet if you listen closely... What tf is that sound after Savage pulls his weapon out of the body ?!
I love how Anakin punches a dude so hard he goes over the table, then gently pushes past the droid. Also he force-chokes with his robot hand that he lost on Genosha.
Not Shown: Master Ki-Adi-Mundi and the Clone boys clearing the bug tunnels during "The Landing at Point Rain" episode...with flamethrowers. THE SCHWARZ FLAMETHROWERS!!! The Kids love'em!!!!!
Then there's Darth Mauls hallway scene, where he decapitates many clones, severs limbs, and a lot of other nasty, cringy injuries. Honestly, I think Maul and Savage Oppress are half the reason this isn't a kids' show! XD
@@supermonkeybg5420 95 here and I disagree. It's common knowledge that the best cartoons are always the ones you watched as a kid, doesn't matter when you were born :D. But you're right... shows and movies (even Disney movies like Mulan) are way more brutal than anything shown to kids nowadays. That's why the newer generations have less and less of a spine. Can't even say kill or die anymore yet school shootings still don't stop. Looks definitely like cussing is the problem in the US media.
Bring back lightsaber lethality! Yo Asajj kissing colt while he dies on her blade is crraaaazzzyyy. Actually got cut from tv whenever it would air I think.
I remember seeing it as a wee lad and thinking, "Ventress has a crush", I think the reason they cut it was because the kiss implies that Ventress is sexually attracted to the Clones. Pair it with the bit in the Dark Horse comics where Ventress is implied to have sexually assaulted Alpha-17 when she had captured him and Obi-Wan, and I think they just didn't want even more sexualization of Ventress
Not suprised in bulgaria it was 7 plus and i was loving it when i was a kid but chance they cut some of the later season how they cut the ending of the legend of kora and steven universe
The first quarter of the video is very slightly desynced. This is because of a problem that happened while i edited the first section of the video (I segmented it into sections and was originally going to upload them seperately) I only realised after I had compiled the footage that there was a slight desyn sadly :(
I honesty doubt that the people who say that it's a kids' show have actually watched the damn show. If they did, they would know these things: 1. Episodes in the later seasons of The Clone Wars often focus on very heavy subjects (Suicide, political corruption, etc.) that aren't really targeted at young children. 2. As the show grew, the kids watching it did as well. 3. The show's fricking amazing, and I love it.
Anakin first slashed a Zygerrian through the chest, sliced the legs of another one off, and then finally did the backwards-stab-thing Force users really seem to love.
I love that in the first scene the one guy turns back to see his friend floating in the air choking himself then poles out his gun and aim it toward him and all he'd does is say what are you doing😂
i remember i watched this show like 3.5 times as a kid. I found some episodes a bit too disturbing some times but i really liked it, i should repay it a visit now honestly.
Well yes, it's a kids show, 'cause level of stupidity almost every time overcome that in sequels. It's just kids who've grown up with it don't like when their favorite show being called that way.
This was the series that made me a fan of Star Wars. I remember watching this in chronological order when it released on Netflix a decade ago. Spent months watching it and I was blown away. And now the Bad Batch is over. What a journey it’s been.
Yes this was a kids show cause kids can handle mature themes like war and cruelty better than people think. Just cause they are kids that doesn't mean they have to be shilded from everything. This will shock you but getting triggered, having meltdowns and crying cause he vadered is not the standard
i just find it funny when i was a kid nobody was stressing about those things and i enjoyed this show so much as a kid and still do now, kid shows these days are just boring compared to what we had
I've only seen the first two seasons and a few episodes afterwards but I never knew how dark clone wars '08 would be after watching this video given the fact that there are scenes I didn't know existed
Also there are literally scenes of clones falling into lava, being sucked into outer space, crushed by grievous and infected with brain parasites to name a few of the more violent ones. Not to mention Umbara where they get slaughtered and desintegrated by the hundreds or geonosis where they're abducted by the insects to be used for god knows what.
