A tech came out to our work and did something like that to test a component in the computer. Said something about sending a signal in a loop between those to pins will give a specific reaction if the device was working correctly. It did so he moved on to another part and found the problem.
Power is out and I discover my lantern does work; the metal piece that bridges the batteries is missing. I whistled the MacGyver tune as I bent off a piece of metal from the lid of a soup can and taped it into place to replace the missing piece.
All I could remember about this is he saves the world and fixes things with a paperclip. That's like a 35 years old memory. I'm not wrong! I think he's responsible for my ingenuity in fixing things, a toothpick for a pivot on an electric typewriter, using a ruler and cardigan as a make shift splint, and just recently put radiator foil round my leg as its very cold where I live and my leg was throbbing with the cold. All down to this dude from when I was a kid lol.
Yeah, I know. Couldn't help but to laugh at that. I watched episode 3 and that one they had to explain something that everyone would know what it was, just can't remember now. Plus Jack was soooo annoying, in the episode in season 2 of the original where Jack shows up, at least he wasn't annoying, but Mac was ready to punch him though. If you had the original MacGyver and the reboot's version of Jack and I'd imagine that Mac would punch him just because he won't shut up and is annoying...lol.
bmo I love MacGyver and at school I took my MacGyver DVDs to school and my teacher said that my class couldn’t watch it because to my teachers MacGyver is not educational
the swiss army knife popularized by macgyver! everyone bought this knife especially the later thicker ones with a spoon and fork, lol! but mac only needed the thin original one
One guy that I used to bowl with had a Swiss Army Knife and then my friend would wear these sweat pants that would cover over her shoes and the guy threatened to show her how a Swiss Army Knife works on pants, she hated that, but I saw whip it out so many times! Then the one day he came real close to cutting those pants, but his wife said to him "Stop flashing that thing around, you're not MacGyver." At the time I had no idea what she was talking about, but he laughed pretty hard and he said "I wouldn't mind being MacGyver." Non of us on the league knew what he was talking about so they said "it's an 80's show, you all are too young to understand." Thanks to Netflix, I've been watching MacGyver a good bit and love the show!!! Now, if only back in 2011 I knew about the show because then I could have joined in on the laughing.
i think he removed a connection from the bomb, which started the timer at the start. He cut a wire to no avail (because the main connection had been severed, indicating it was no regular count-down trigger). MacGyver reconnected the two power conductors with the paperclip and the connection was re-introduced and the bomb could return to its hibernation mode (flashing red dot) . But of course the bomb would now be faulty
@@GMovieSeeker I've actually been looking for those one-off 80's thriller Macgyver tunes but couldn't find them, one guy uploaded some of them, he did so by yanking the audio out of the episodes and cleaning them up. He wrote something in comments about actually having contacted the ones who made the original show, to have all those small OST's released, but they basically couldnt care less unless they got paid.
I like him throwing the hat on the rocket fin. With the camera movement you can see it's further away from him than it looked at first and the camera is panning on him since lifting the tent up to get in. If he missed , take two!
Golly gosh Mac you know how to get yourself into a situation and then get yourself out of a situation without having to get caught. MacGyver is a legend in every way that counts. Knowing how to defuse a bomb, jump out of a plane or a jeep or over a fence it doesn't matter. MacGyver knows what he's doing and he doesn't seem to notice how much trouble it will be on the Phoenix Foundation if Peter Thornton found out but honestly I really don't care. Mac is who he is and that never changes him. Nobody can. And nothing ever will. Mac is his own man but to all MacGyver fans out there. Mac is a hero in his own MacGyver fans ways. Even me I grew up watching MacGyver and I continue to watch re runs of the original MacGyver Richard Dean Anderson clips and scenes and any available old original MacGyver episodes including intro and outro(closing credits) theme song from all seven seasons of MacGyver(1985-1991-2) with movies and special features and episodes of MacGyver that Richard Dean Anderson brings our Angus "Mac" MacGyver back for which happily pleases all original MacGyver fans out there with excitement knowing that one day down the road in the future if Richard Dean Anderson was ever asked to reprise Angus "Mac" MacGyver at all jumping for a chance to bring back our original MacGyver hero that Richard Dean Anderson will forever be remembered for and reminded of.
What a wonderful man. I really dont know why people make jokes about Macgyver. Honestly! I now realise why Marge Simpsons sisters love this truely wonderful man so much. What a man!!!
@DeathtoRaiden1 no, its a magnet kind of device that activates when times up, then the magnet attract one trigger and if the trigget hits the magnet, it blows, so he used the paperclip to make it go between the magnet and trigger, så the paperclip gets in its way.
When I watch these You Tube Videos, I love to hear RDA's Voice. I love his voice...well of him, but these are all great videos and grateful they are here. I always wonder how these actresses can act/kiss Mac in a scene. I would be fainting for sure. Any thing he would be in whether Stargate, his movies or MacGyver. The man ooozes sexulity and so many other awesome features. I wish RDA the best and to see him in person some day is on my bucket list. Top one.
1:04, they don't make tense music like this anymore. Funny story Back in 99, they started playing this show again on WGN, and my brother always kept replaying this scene when he taped it (I was there of course). Once we got DK64 that Christmas, I took the initiative to take the jumper pack out of the N64 without knowing how to do it properly. Next thing I know, this music starts playing in my head, and I'm being careful about what to do. Once I pulled them jumper pack out, my VCR all of a sudden came on with a 30 second timer, then I started hearing that really tense part. So I put the jumper pack back in but the timer kept going. Then I thought to myself "Okay dude, you've got a banana yellow cartridge on your leg, but no controller. Now what?". Then I put in the expansion pack with 1 second left, and the VCR shut off. To this day I have no idea what that was all about. I think I had a weird VCR. I will add that I did that when no one else was home, other than myself. Must have had my own little MacGyver moment.
@@therealmr.incredible3179 It happened. I still don't have any explanation for it. That vcr I had was weird. It acted weird quite a few times. After a while it would just randomly shut off out of nowhere, or it would just automatically start recording something on TV.
This was awesome! I wish you guys would have shown the part where he hung that gun in a tree and then made the gun shoot at the ground and he and that guy made their get away with the line "God, I hate heights!" Best part.
