Two different locations over a couple of days in the Mach Loop gave a great variety of aircraft. The upload includes 2 x F/A-18 hornets from the Canadian air force, 1 x Texan T-6 from the Royal air force, 1 x Strikemaster (private), 2 x Hawk T-2 Royal air force, 1 x F-35B Lightning royal air force and 4 x F-35A lightnings from the United States Air Force. The RAF F-35 is the first one to complete the Mach Loop since its arrival in the UK back in 2018.
Enjoy the upload

Always makes me proud to see our boys abroad strutting their stuff. Canadian pilots are a breed like no other, and would be the deadliest of enemies to encounter in the air. Every ear when Canadian and American pilots gather to engage in air to air combat training, our boys are consistently at the top, because in the RCAF you can be a career fighter jockey, so they learn everything there is to know about dogfighting and put it to good use. Because of the Canadian Military being severely underfunded ever since the Korean war ended, our miliary has emphasized the importance of training to overcome the gap in technology. as a result, Canadian troops have always been a very Formidable force to go against. Germany discovered this in both world wars, and had a healthy respect for Canadians, likewise for Australian and New Zealander forces as well. when we get into the mindset, we stop being a very polite people and become our enemies' worst nightmare. What's that saying again, 'Beware the Fury of a patient man.'

@@iblockpuncheswithmyface1490 Dude, it is, and they are psycho when their put their game face on, I swear! I went to an airshow in Alberta and the commander who flew that day came down the deck at 20meters high at 590 knots, and went full up vertical with full afterburners and he almost broke the sound barrier but it was the most insane thing I have ever seen a Hornet do!!! Full on respect for all fighter jocks man, because the punishment those aircraft put their bodies through must be nothing less than life shortening! There was an American A-10 pilot and his warthog there for the same day and even he simply shook his head walking back to his aircraft. that was one of the best airshows I have ever been to!

@oculusangelicus8978 11 месяцев назад
@@iblockpuncheswithmyface1490 Well, the Canadian troops were the ones assigned to do it by the British commanders in WW1 and WW2 because of two factors, 1. the Canadians were a breed apart from regular infantrymen, and had a drive to succeed no matter the challenge and second, the British officers sent the Canadians in because they didn't want to sacrifice their own troops, shameful if you ask me, but to their surprise and chagrin, the Canucks always managed to succeed. The German were scared to death of meeting Canadian special forces because they knew that if they weren't given an specific order to bring back prisoners, none of the Germans would likely survive. The Germans called them the black devils because they were every bit as hard core as fighting the devil himself and were on a level equal in tenacity with the Waffen SS. Ever since 2014 Canadians, because we didn't have the money to give to them, began to train and teach the Ukrainians how to fight properly, and today no one is ever going to pick a fight with the Ukrainians any time soon, and that is because we sent many Canadians spec forces over there and taught them how to really fight. After what has happened in Ukraine, no one will ever think to underestimate the fighting prowess of Ukrainians ever again. Because the Canadian military is so poorly funded, we have had no choice but to learn to compensate for the lack of top tier equipment with fierce fighting spirit, and the will to take as many of the enemy down before they themselves fall, and for the major part, we have been very successful at it. I was a member of the Calgary King's own Armored regiment reserve unit for a time in my youth. I wish we had the Leopard 2 like we do now, back then!

Great video, thanks... Having spent five years in a CF18 squadron these jets are great. I love them. And I don't think most people actually appreciate or understand how great the technology actually was. And still is. There's like 30 different computers on an F18. Everything from an ADC (air data computer) to an INS (intertial navigation system). Never before seen radar, flight control computers, single pilot, multi-role aircraft, you name it. And it's all 1970s technology, lol. Forget about CF18s being old. Airplanes are just platforms. Me personally I loved the flight control computers (FCC). That was kind of my specialty. So many stories from the McDonnell Douglas guys and aerospace engineers who actually built this plane. The flight control stuff is crazy. Think skunk works. Guys with no sleep and not taking a shower for a week, lol. That's the story of the F18.

@alpearson9158 Unlikely. If we get a change in government, it will be the Conservatives who will win and they wanted to buy the F35 when they were last in power in the early 2010s (luckily we didn't end up with the early block #s). When the Liberals came in in 2015-16, they canceled the early F35 order by the Conservatives, only to end up choosing the F35 again last year. In a way that worked out because we get a more advanced version with some of the early issues now resolved.

Back in 2019 I was at the airshow in Greenwood NS. The Blue Angels last year flying the Hornet before shifting to the Super Hornet. I always get the shutterbug/media pass good for four days of flying. Those Blue Angel ground crew were so busy with worn out aircraft that by Saturday the first public show they had the media aircraft and spare in the show and had robbed the two down aircraft of parts to keep the third trouble maker flying. The hours on those airframes is much higher than on Canadian Hornets which is why they were replaced in 2020. My hats off the the ground crews, they refused to allow the show to be modified at all. Now they fly Super Hornets which comes with it's own issues I understand thanks to so many of them being used as tanker aircraft during their life which drove up flight hours at sea. They have a smaller number of airframes to draw from so it's likely they will fly the later version for fewer years than the Legacy model.

@Jarsia
@Jarsia Год назад
@@cryptohunt2552 Why do you say that? Canada has a small air force, so each of those planes need to be the best of the best. Stealth is indispensable both offensively and defensively, and add to that the F35 has the best radar/sensors and gives the pilot unmatched awareness of the battlefield. Yeah the Typhoon has greater range, but that's what tankers are for, and it's not much cheaper as I understand it. It may even require more maintenance hours given 2 engines. The typhoon is good, but it's still 4th(or 4.5) gen. With less than 100 fighters, we can't afford to be operating fighters that will increasingly only be on par or slightly ahead of what potential opponents can throw at them.

As a Canadian, I'm always torn when watching our men and women in uniform. I'm confident that they do absolutely the best they can with what they have, but I'm terrified that we're tying 2 hands and 1 leg behind their back. CF-18s? Build in 1970's! We just managed to acquire brand new FA-18's that Australia bought in 1982 and were planning on tossing in the trash heap, but sadly that is the best we can get. Why? Because our politicians (regardless of the colour of lawn signs they use at election time) have their collective heads so far up their backsides they can't see the light of day. And us, as voters, would rather vote for someone with their head up their backsides rather than someone who would tell us the truth. I don't want a military that is going to go raiding beaches of foreign lands or invading villages in far away countries, but seriously, let's give our men and women in uniform proper equipment to defend our country for once!

The Hornet is an embiggened F-5. Some day I'd like to start with a Super Hornet but end up with a Super P-700. If you're a Hornet fan you'll probably find the Northrop P-700 (aka N/D-102) interesting. It's another member of that same design lineage. Northrop's -530 was almost a Hornet, it lost weight to become the -610/Cobra; McDonnell Douglas Model 267 ended up resembling an updated and navalized -530. Northrop submitted a significantly redesigned evolution as one of the Eurofighter proposals. The -700 looks like a Hornet's fuselage with a single tail and a tailless trapezoid wing configuration.

Its sad that most Canadians think we don't need the ability to protect ourselves. Just like recently when our navy released some new arctic patrol ships. Great looking ships. Just one problem. No weapons aside from one small deck gun. Canada needs to wake up to the reality of what our world is like now. Otherwise we may end up paying the price.

Is it faster with better tech and multi functionality? Nope but that's what makes it great. The reason why it's still functioning - it doesn't break down at staggering costs to repair and maintain and it's maturity makes it reliable and trustworthy.

@@DafyddPhillips I used to think, when Grumman was still on Long Island, that he Intruder was their favorite, even over the Tomcat. More in keeping with their heritage, plus the Tomcat was a nightmare to build. Plus the Intruder could blow the deck crew folks around

@4:45 "London Mil London Mil, Spartan 21 F35 climbing out the Mach loop squawking 4321 with flash looking for vectors to the Lichfield Corridor FL180 RTB Marham over......." Jeez I loved it at RAF West Drayton. For me that was in the mid 80's so no F35's but sitting on the North Allocator console with the controller seeing and talking to the guys climbing out of the loop to go home. The other desks in London Mil was just as good. Best AATC job I did in my 12 years.

The Canadian f18s keep going and going. We bought tough as hell Navy fighters. Didn't smash them into aircraft carrier decks or leave them out in the ocean. They even go a little faster without some of the naval gear. Plus our pilots are a different breed. Thanks for posting this.

It's part of the central bank's air force. They do not work for Canadian people. They are a professional army of financial institutions, but if the planes had the name Rockefeller or Rothschild on them rather than Canada, they would have poor public relations.

And just to add... Notice the tail numbers. If it starts with a seven it's a single-seater. If it starts with a nine it's a two-seater. Not shown but if the tail number starts with a zero, i.e. 035, 045, 055 then it's an CF18 bought from Australia.
