Thank you for checking out my review of the Machenike K500A. This is a Keychron K2 clone that I found on Amazon and AliExpress , so I had to check it out to see if it is worth saving $30+ on the real thing.

Great video, as always, my friend. You almost have to wonder if they copied the design and thought they would sell it for whatever they could before they had to stop selling them.

That's what I am thinking. This keyboard is a cash grab for the design only because as of its use, it is a pretty bad typing experience. I'm surprised I rated it as high as I did! lol!

I'm typing this comment on the exact same keyboard :) While your review is spot on in many ways, it is a bit sore. It is not a perfect keyboard, of course, but it is not as bad either. I bought it mainly becasue I needed something light and small to fit in my handbag, while being light and quiet so that I can use it at work, and it serves well both ways. Also, I needed a small keyboard that does not sacrifice the arrows, home, pageup ... etc. dedicated buttons like in those 60 keyboards, and it has all the keys I need, in a light small pack. I got the brown switches and they are very quiet, the typing clicks are smooth and the sound is muffed enough. It is plasticky but it is not something that would hinder my typing. Also, it is hollow, but I can't find that has much effect on the sound, I mean it is quiet enough not to care really. After all, it is a cheap keyboard that I can take anywhere, and if it gets lost, it is not much to lose. This is my second keyboard, and more are coming on the way :))) but my first keyboard was very clicky with blue switches which was great for a first keyboard and is still great for gaming, but for long typing sessions, I ended up with headaches, that I took it apart and added a layer of light foam inside but that was not enough, it is still clicky as hell with sharp piercing clicks, but for gaming the tactile feel is great. In comparison to my first one (a no big name Motospeed C-674, I believe the whole brand went down), this Machenike is a dream. I baught my motospeed a few years ago, and I had no clue, it was the first time I have ever heard of mechanical keyboards, and I wanted something mechanical and clicky, but it turned out not to be over-clicky :), although it has beautiful RGB and lasted that far without issues, hardly missing a beat that I will still keep it as my gaming keyboard. My only take against the Machenike K500A for this price is the lighting which is a bit dim, and the color shoice is horrible; I do not need it to be full GRB but I just hate the separate color for each line, particulalry with such horrible choice of colors, has it been one color say red or white I would have been very happy. Besides that, the keys feel a bit crammed and smaller than standard that I occasionally mistyupe, but that's probably to keep it as small as possible and maybe I'll get used to it. The left side on my keyboard has a sharp edge so the finish quality is not premium, and capslock light is on the side too so there is no way to see it unless I twist my body to look at the side of the keyboard which is the least brilliant idea ever. Anyways for a travel keyboard, this is great, but for extended use there are many better options of course. Like you, I am not impressed with the keyboard, but I didn't expect to be, but for the overall experince of typing and size factor, it is a very legitimate keyboard that serves certain needs.

Thanks for leaving your feedback on this keyboard. It is great to hear other sides to the story and that someone enjoys it for what it is. I was on the fence in keeping it and doing some modding to it, but I ended up returning it for a refund. But, I am glad you left your side to the story. It's great to have multiple opinions before making a purchase. Nice having you here!

Thanks for the review! I wondered why it has only "10" (which is Chinese RoHS) and still available on international market, but from your video it seems like it also has FC and CE certifications that are on the box (on my box, that sticker is absent). Also, that keyboard is very similar to the Redragon K629 Phantom. the only difference is that K629 has full RGB and different keycap, USB cord colors

Thanks for watching! I looked up that Redragon board and it is similar. I've noticed that MageGee seems to have a similar one as well. I think this one may have to go back to Amazon for me because it's pretty lackluster for the price.
