The rest of it he's been working on for 6 years, ever since Em blacklisted him at Shade45. He sat and waited for Em to say something. I give him a little credit, probably the best song he's ever put out there. Even though his bar is set very very low. But still.
Eminem did diss him on the new album in the track called “not alike” this is MGK’s response.. and he’s not challenging him to claim he’s better.. he’s just not gonna back down and he’s calling Em out on all his BS over the years.. it goes a lot harder to people who know all the information.. that’s why this blew tf up so quick lol

MGK popped a champagne bottle listening to the diss. He was waiting for it. Em called every rapper to come at him, someone did. He should have respect for doing so but too many fan bois to realize that whats happening is gonna help the game so much.. Battles and bars is what hip hop is.
And that is precisely why MGK should get at least some recognition for this diss track. Is it on par with Eminem from a lyrical perspective? No, but I don't think that was even the point. His point was that Eminem is a huge star, one of the greatest rappers to ever live, a lyrical genius and doesn't have to fight for anything, who has millions of dollars. Why go after small fries like MGK and Lil Pump? MGK was trying to hit Em where it hurt and go hard, not write a symphony. He succeeded, hands down. He'll be blown out of the water by the response from Eminem, but I give it to him for having the balls to do it and the skill to point out facts instead of generic diss moves.
Em is GOAT and that doesn't mean rappers can't diss him. Plus it's bringing hip-hop back. Wonder if the diss game last a lifetime, everyday would be AWESOME.
Honestly I like watching reaction videos and when this whole MGK/Eminem beef started happening I was strangely interested in what other people thought of it as well, tho I couldn't make it past 2 minutes of most others videos because they constantly had to pause and talk about it, you two did the absolute opposite and I personally appreciate that. The fact that this was made within a few days and made a video. He has a crazy beat, sick hook, all the verses are fire, he puts EM on blast, all while respectfully butchering EM. And the song just builds all the way till the end and he changes up his delivery. Right up there with Pac Hit'em Up and Cube's No Vaseline.

I feel like im the only one who thinks this but this will probably get you thinking, i feel like eminem is over this autotune trap era and wants it to go back to the old days so he started dissing a lot of big names to stir up a nice lyrical battle and see what people can come up with and inspire people to be lyrical again. Story is essentially that MGK said Hailie was sexy like he was trying to get on it in 2012, when he was 22 and Hailie was 16. Because of this, word and influence from Em got him proxy banned from Shade 45 and some other shit. 5-6 years later (around March this year I think) MGK and Tech N9ne release a track called "No Reason" where MGK subliminally disses Eminem. Eminem releases Kamikazi, and disses MGK on "Not Alike" via a verse and a few bars, making reference to the Tech N9ne diss track (calling MGK a *sub* machinegun for coming at him subliminally) and hits him with a double entendre by calling him by name and referencing R.Kelly simultaneously (you already know who you are, Kelly [R.Kelly]) which was the only real reference to the beef from 6 years ago, basically saying MGK's got them pedo tendencies while calling him out by name, rather than subliminally. MGK then releases this track, which is dope on the surface but if you know the history, it's actually kind of whack in some ways that once sounded dope... like MGK waited 6 years to diss Em on Tech N9ne's track, Em didn't wait 6 years - he just referenced that beef while responding to "No Reason" - AND MGK acted like the whole album was about him, when he only got a verse and a few bars on one track (Not Alike). But it still has some truth (Em getting him banned and probably closing some doors to him over a statement about Hailie on social media). Em had a lot of Rabbit moments on his Kamikaze album too though. I call a pre-emptive strike a Rabbit moment since he named every strategy that would be used against him at the end of that movie before getting to the actual disses. Em comments in a few other tracks mocking how people will respond to his disses with bars like "Sourpuss - gonna get mad just cuz his album sucks - and now he wants to take it out on us" on Ringer, and "If my response is late, that's how long it takes to hit my fuckin' radar I'm so far away" on Fall (that one's mostly at Charlamagne though) alongside commenting on the shitty new rap culture and fans. MGK basically mostly dissed him on his age and timing in this track just like Em said people would, and lots of fans out there saying he killed Em with it, proving Em right. Most of them don't know the facts or hear the lyrics. Only credits I'll give MGK were that he was ON IT with this track (like, was released a weekend after Em's album) and he came direct, instead of subliminally unlike on N9ne's track. It was ballsy and got him some massive spotlight. Thing is...that spotlight is we're all watching for his destruction now since he took it real personal. So another bitter credit is that he likely martyred his career for the sake of helping the Rap Industry get back to greatness again.
