Lavash bread is one of the most popular and widely consumed types of bread among the people of the Middle East and it is prepared in many different ways. Of course, in Iran this bread is prepared in a large size compared to other countries in the Middle East, and in other countries it is prepared in a small bite size. With this tutorial, you can easily prepare this bread at home, besides, you don't need an oven to prepare lavash bread and you can make it on a pan.
This bread is called Lavash in Iran and Lavash in the Republic of Armenia. In Georgia, it is called "Somkhori Lavashi" which means Armenian Lavash. About its origin, Shoshd Kalimi's encyclopedia writes that its origin was from the Middle East, from Iran. Some have considered its origin to be Sumerian.
