The music gets you very hyped when you are in the line. Aswell as the whole queue is built to look like you are at a space ship or something. An amazing ride 10/10
The music is probably some of the best theme park music ever along with the other great IMAscore music. In terms of the ride expereince, it's proably Mack's best ride built yet along with Time Traveller, Blue Fire and ICON.
Just as an update, thanks to the generosity of Liseberg, I can safely say HELIX is my favourite roller coaster of all. The choreography of the elements and flow of the design is magnificent and all with the freedom that the Mega Coaster trains provide. Truly top work Mack Rides, here's hoping for a similar world class coaster on my home shores here in the UK. :-D
Helix looks absolutely stunning and is an amazing piece of technology. I can't wait to hopefully get to Liseberg this summer to ride it and experience my first Mack Launch coaster. Great job and here's to more Mack coasters being built in the future. :)
Merlin are very reluctant on wooden coasters though. And unless its a completley awesome wooden coaster I prefer a mack multi launch with airtime and inversions. All personal opinion though :)
It looks outstanding, I wish we had one stateside. The transition between elements is just flawless, there aren't any down sections, the ride seems to go forever, which isn't the case for most launch coasters I have experienced. Well done Mack.
It's my favourite for sure. My stomach hurt so bad in the queue because I was extremely hyped, but after this I learned that extreme roller coasters are my favourite
Im from gothenburg and i have riden many coasters in my days but i can easy say that this one is the best in the world.. The experience is awesome! No other coaster can top this.. Great job Mack Rides
I'm at Liseberg at least three or four times a year! I love Helix! And a tip, search for Mechanica Liseberg, it's the new roller coaster at the park and it looks so scary!
I will fly alone from Germany to Sweden this May and I will visit Liseberg, Kolmården and Gröna Lund. Do you have any tips for such a trip because it will be the first time in my life that I travel alone

Rode it four times during this past weekend... it's an *awesome* ride! Super smooth, no jerking or sideways jostling. The plus, minus and zero G's are used for great effect. The restraints are comfy and holds you down by your thighs, which feels very secure... no strain on shoulder. All in all: best modern coaster I've ever been on. Fun extras: - The Helix smartphone app lets you play for express passes (i.e. bypass the queue) while waiting in line - The app also lets you log your rides for achivements - The personal items lockers are very cleverly designed to only open when your train is at the station (doesn't show in the video) - The soundtrack heard in the video is played in the queue area
Rode it yesterday, amazing rollercoaster with alot of fun! I would rate it 9,5/10 because the headrest was pretty hard. But the rollercoaster itself was amazing, worth every minute/hour of waiting :)
Das ist die beste Achterbahn die ich in meinem Leben gefahren bin. Grandios. Die Warteschlage finde ich persönlich sehr gut gelungen und das frei wlan in der queline ist super um sich das helix game zu laden. ;-) Der soundtrack passt super in das Theming. Dann endlich im Bahnhof angekommen haut einen der teil des soundtracks aus dem video förmlich um. Die sitze des zuges sind sehr bequem und man sitzt schön frei. Das Bahnlayout ist super abwechlungsreich und aufregend. Ich muss schon sagen: Einfach der Hammer!!! :-D
Except Gerstlauer have a wider track, while Intamin have a thinner track. Compare The Smiler's track width to Colossus' track, you'll see a difference.
This coaster is very different compared to Blue Fire or Manta. Acceleration is the middle of the coaster and not at the beginning. But I think it's a great experience for Mack Rides to do new things. Good Job ;)
First time in Lisseberg this year i ride Helix 2 times (wanted more but the queue is sooooo damn long) and my whole body was hurting and 2 days later i was invited by my friends to visit Lisseberg and did ride it 2 more times and my body had barely recovered from the last visit so it was a pain but it was easily worth it.
Är det någon som vet hur rund man kan vara max för att kunna åka denna? Har läst att den har vissa begränsningar och jag är lite rund. Men hur rund ungefär kan man vara?
Love Mack rides however I do think tho could have the ultimate ride type if you just made the launches have some force. Also try and stop the lap bars from coming down more but apart from that I think every park needs one of these
