www.paypal.me/vincentyeo vincentyeo88.blogspot.com Marshal Sam Mackenna (Gregory Peck) and outlaw John Colorado (Omar Sharif) battle to find a legendary cache of gold in this spectacular Wild West adventure.
Incomplete clip, even the scene is not completed. You don't even bother to mention year of release of this cult movie. Eye wash. Easy going. No sincere efforts to make proper video or to give detail info.
@@vincentyeo88 Thanks. My only intention was to make your movie clips/ channel more interesting, justifying the old Classics like this one, which is a timeless classic and cult movie now. I had seen it then in Cinema hall. Superb movie, superb effects.
@@shubhamshree03 thank you for your kind intention. RU-vid will hit me with a ban if my movie clips are too long. RU-vid disallows me to monetize all my movie clips and also my own videos. i don't earn any money from my channel, and that is not a problem for me.
Mackenna’s Gold was a 70mm movie. Golden Age of English movies in Chennai during 1970s. I saw it in Devi theatre, a premium cinema hall with big 70mm screen. Two eyes were not enough if you want to enjoy this movie. Really filmed in Grand Canyon, Arizona, U.S with Colorado river flowing. What a movie!!
This was my best movie all the time during my childhood in USSR( Soviet Union). I loved it and watched too many times, that I lost numbers. I'm watching this movie and now at least once per year and still love it. I was surprised, that by Wikipedia "Makenna's Gold" was not very popular in USA market, but in USSR it was extremely popular western and people spent a lot of time in the line for tickets to watch this movie again and again. Some crazy people, like me, just after watching movie, came back in the line for one more view.
This is a milestone movie. Handsome Gregory Peck, Great actor Omar, great story, music, picturisation, direction made the movie unmatchable till date. I feel whenever I watch this movie that Im at that location and everything happening in front of me. Greatest entertaining movie. One should watch Full movie and not in clips.
I saw this movie as an 11 year old in Texas, at 11pm at night on a Friday. Wow good memories, and the theme song "Old Turkey Buzzard" is here on RU-vid if you want to hear it. Classic movie it is !!
This cliff dwelling city in the Grand canyon shown in this clip is based on a true city in the grand canyon built 3,300 years ago. There are details shown here such as the steps carved into the rock that were written by John Wesley Powell in his book detailing his exploration of the Grand Canyon. Thats why I sought out this movie. I've been doing research on the city for almost 5 years now.....
Watch the end of the chapter 9 or 10 on a DVD as in goes into the next chapter then play it backwards you will see images that similar to the twin towers, the sun at 9:30 am, the American flag, s concrete building with windows, then a plane. As plane approaches the flag a building burns.
All I had to do was wait at the top of the hill with a Rock in hand. You're pretty vulnerable when someone is at the top of the hill and you are trying to cling on for life climbing the hill. Unrealistic scenario!
Fifty-one years since I saw this movie. I have no idea how I managed to avoid seeing it again over the decades. Isn't there a song, "Old Turkey Buzzard", by José Feliciano in this movie? Hadn't even thought of that in a long, long time but RU-vid probably has it.
my father talked a great about this legend movie when i was child. for the fist time I saw it in cinema hall was somewhere around 1989 when i was an adult. By-God, that was the happiest day of my life. I truly love this movie. Gregory Peck, Telly Savalas... the greatest stars hollywood could ever have.
My father showed me this movie on TV. I didn't quite like it as I felt I have already seen some movies of the same plot. I was 19 (2009) when I first watched this movie on TV. I should watch it once again to know the real essence of it.
If that much gold was found the price would plummet. English state sponsored pirates Drake and Raleigh raided the Spanish galleons bringing gold and silver back from the New World keeping the price high.
Such an amount of gold would make anyone go crazy. Gold is very heavy, that's at least a few thousand tons in that mountain, not counting the gold sand in that stream. Such a find in those days would cause runaway inflation and a massive economic crisis.
Meena Ponnu , Meena Ponnu , Also watch 1961 "The Guns of Navarone" , War Film , for Gregory Peck action & adventure , and watch 1965 "Doctor Zhivago", Drama & Romance Film , for Omar Sharif as cool lovable physician and poet ,
This movie was great, one of the great archetypal quest stories spectacularly presented on film. Also worth a look, the 1999 film, THE MUMMY referenced this one subtly (as in scene for scene, shot for shot, situation for situation, and it's impossible to overlook the resemblance between The fully reconstituted mummy and Telly Savalas). I like both movies a lot, but this one gets a slight edge because it is the source material.
Great movie. Surprised theres been no remake ! Great old greed theme and good storyline . Now come on who could resists Hesh -ke's charms-crazy as she was?Could unroll my bunk rug anytime. She was also catwoman in the original Batman series. Meeooww!
This film had a bunch of screen legends, the real OG Edward G Robinson, Raymond Massey, three Bat Villains: Julie Newmar (Catwoman), Burgess Meredith (The Penguin) and Eli Wallach ( One of three Mr Freezes), and a few TV icons, like Lurch and Kojack. Almost for got to mention Keenan Wynn, he's hilarious.
OBRA MAESTRA.
Hey doesn't the Canyon of El Dorado even existing because if it is real then everyone will come and take a look at it and take pictures of the Canyon of El Dorado the question is why would they call a canyon del Oro why would they just call Canyon El Dorado
A great adventure movie which could have been a lot better if the Columbia Pictures had NOT cut some 50 minutes from the final release print, shot in Super Panavision 65mm and Technicolor and 6 track TODD-AO Stereo sound is breathtaking to see on a large screen.
peterd121 thumb's up! thank you for your interesting comment. 👌 i'd watched this great movie on a super widescreen with huge surround sound speakers in a cinema when i was young.
The novel Mackenna's Gold by Will Henry was based on the legend of the "Lost Adams Diggings" (see Wikipedia for more infomation). Here is an interesting documentary short movie ... titled Lost Adams Mine. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A2v9Dm2Pg-k.html
