i never knew that the audition scripts can hide what show they're for till I saw taz's audition where the script calls the All blue the 'savoury seven'. So if Zoro's audition call was also hiding the real show, then must mean all roles were hidden. I wonder why they chose to do that though. I'm glad Mackenyu got zoro he's so skilled with the sword
it's for secrecy before they're ready to advertize a lot of things have to come together for stuff like this to happen so they need to keept things quiet until they're ready to start talking about it it might also help with the audition if the actors don't come with expectations
To get a more natural casting for the character because if you knew the roll beforehand you would search it up and try to play it exactly as you researched. But I guess this way they would get more natural expressions of the characters they're already looking for?
His father's dream is to have a Japanese actor in Hollywood, and I think he pursues Mackenyu to be in that place. That is why he planned for Mackenyu to be born and study in the US while still having the ethics of being Japanese. You know, the Japanese have difficulties with the American language; that's why it's hard for them to enter Hollywood. But Japan is very famous when it comes to anime and horror movies; no one can beat them.👌 For sure, his father was really proud of him, seeing Mackenyu living his dream come true.
It's not that they're bad at English, but that in countries like Japan and France, no one needs to speak any language other than their native language. Only developing countries require English for higher education.

@@novrinkov0053 Most small European nations have really good english. Scandinavians are considered to be the best english speakers out of non-english countries. Even Germany has increased english in school in the past decades, the younger generations speak very well. But don't forget, french, spanish and portuguese are also global languages: which is why these countries dont really teach english in school that hard. Eastern europe didnt teach english during soviet times, but people who went to school after soviet times do speak english.

It is fate's crossroads. Oda's the best. In a way, initial rejection for something that he might not have been into, shows he didn't want to play around. Regardless he was tied up to a post that was something he just had to do, that showed not just obstinance, but unwavering steadfastness. When they asked again, it was something that didn't get in the way of his true dream - Hollywood. If anything it might have been rocky, but it was a step. A step in any direction was saying a lot. Sure he can get lost, and that's not his fault. Being true to his dream eventually lead him to his destination. Being tied because of work, initially saying no, taking a chance but only if it doesn't go against your dreams, and despite a very human tendency to be led astray and get lost, exercise monstrous dedication with undying, beastly, fealty - who does those remind you of?
Cool but they might be wrong about the role being given to other from outside Japan had not Mackenyou snatch te role. Since Zoro is japanese the, casting director would want a Japanese actor who can speak English and Mackenyou is the best fit and that's why they offered him to do the audition even after he rejected it first time. There rarely any Japanese actors who can speak English and who will fit the role and mackenyou is definitely well known in anime live action remake so..
Mackenyu voice is just sorry to say naturally high pitch compared to VA Zoro 😂😂 a massive contrast ahah but he tried his best to sound lower pitch in the LA
Mackenyu kinda special, actually Oda want as main cast "not that famous actors", so when people see them as One piece cast, kinda like Robert as ironman, and Chris as Thor, but for Mackenyu a lot lot people keep pushing him to Oda because he is that good n fit tho char, so Oda agree to "direct" cast him.

Well if you expect a casting totally out of touch with reality, something not human, then stick to the anime for real. For years, we begged for good acting and authenticity, and not cringy make-believe cosplayed characters, in LA adaptations. Hence why we say that One Piece finally broke the curse.

Actors/actresses weight fluctuate a lot for movie roles. And he was prob training way harder for Zoro. Prob burned more calories. Or his next project requires more weight.
