I'll tell you this. I have the M-Audio and work on my own rock mixes and I mix the drums too loud vis a vis the guitars and bass every single time, and I never notice it until I listen on different speakers. This leads me to believe that M-Audio is a bit hyped in the lower mids.

beware of the mackies, test it before you buy, I had to return a pair a couple days ago because of the white noise, it was very annoying

@@crystal.argentina cheers dude! I'd already dug a little deeper and had found this out. Now I can't make my mind up over Presonus or M-audio. Thanks for the comment though 👍🏼

@@MrEking25 I guess it depends on what do you want from the monitors, or what you want to do with them, I think both are good, the eris 4.5 are nice to listen, but a little harsh with the highs, if you want to use it for a couple hours i dont know... the m audios are a little boxy, but I think the freqs are more even to start making music, I recommend you to listen both with some music you like and know well, I always test the monitors with eric johnson's manhattan for example, I'm going for the m audios in my bedroom, to listen music, edit videos and mix simple songs like a voice or two with an acostic guitar. In my home studio I have a pair of mackie mr5 mk2, a bigger choice but I have more room to place them there

No not at all. As matter of fact, just because of my hearing I wouldn't pick the Mackies for mixing. They are mid-scooped to make them sound more transparent. They colour your mix to make you like them. The typical smile curve. Nice for consuming music, not nice for mixing.

obvio, aunque esta comparacion varia dependiendo de con que los oigas, y partiendo de la base de que ambos son muy chicos para mezclar correctamente, con los m audio tenes un mejor punto de partida, los mackie colorean mucho, ademas de que tienen un ruido blanco insoportable para mi gusto, acabo de devolver unos... decepcionado de mackie, tengo unos mr5 mkii en el home studio y son una hermosura por lo que valian en su epoca
