Mackinlay's Shackleton Blended Malt - Whisky Review 80 

I work in the second hand book trade and I have in my possession a first edition copy of Alfred Lansing's book 'Endurance' which has to be the best account of one of the most incredible adventure stories known to man/woman/whatever. I'm talking about Shackleton's Endurance expedition, which had it been fiction would be completely unbelievable. I also once sold Shackleton's first edition account to a collector. By the time the incredible story emerged (the public having assumed the crew perished) the Great War was in full swing and peoples minds were on more pressing matters. A number of the Endurance crew that survived one of the greatest adventures ever would later lose their lives in the War.

Great Story behind the bottle!

thanks for the review, very informative :) i've been really enjoying going through your videos, and this is a bottle i've seen on shelves and almost picked up a couple of times. it's always nice to get some perspectives on a bottle before forking out hard-earned cash on it :p also - did an actual lol @ "an explorer's ice tea... that's a little bit ironic" >_<
