macOS 13 Ventura Stage Manager Overview and a Bug with Airdrop! 

It seems like Stage Manager will work best when you group together apps for a common purpose. Like, if I'm writing a document, a stage with Pages, Safari, Dictionary, etc. Or maybe one with Mail and Contacts. Similar to how a lot of people use Spaces right now. Otherwise, the feature seems confusing. But it's already nicely implemented.

I kinda don't like it ....i don't know why, but I think it's another thing that will eat up resources ...it's just a fancy second dock in my opinion, most people will never use it.

Finally, the windows os folder tabs implemented on macOS.

reading through the other comments it seems like I've been using spaces all wrong since it's inception lol- dedicating a space to different apps and groups of apps. Lots of swiping between different spaces which gets dizzying when trying to multi task. But I think that is the fundamental difference between the two. I suppose using them both in combination could be quite powerful. Like I could have a space for each client and each stage could contain what I need for each task: jira ticket in safari, figma file, notion notes.

if you resize your dock to be smaller you'll get a 6th stage that way as well. It's just about how much room is in that bottom corner.

I been watching sum of your videos an I was wondering if you would be able to help me personal with my MacBook I misplaced it an can’t find it an haven’t touch it since school got out in may an when I looked in there It wasn’t a In there an when I looked on find my on my iPhone it say ‘no location found’

Stage manager does not work for me in notes, all other apps work fine.. MacBook Air M1 .. is this another bug in Ventura ..?

Stage manager when doing airdrop did animate showing that in those folder list there is something happened, but yeah needs better implementaion for this

Hey, in an older video you said that sites as mactorrent contain a lot of nasty malware, that got me alert as I've downloaded quite a ton on there but CleanMyMacX didnt detect any malware, do you think it might be hidden and how would I go about deleting it?

I'm obsessed with closing apps that I don't use. I think Stage Manager assumes keeps apps open all the time. I just don't see the need for yet another tool for window management. IMHO they should have solved this by merging this functionality with the dock.

Hmm I’m not sure how I feel about stage manager. I completely get it for something like iPad but I’m a heavy user of the 3 finger gesture up to view different desktops I have open and then the 3 finger left or right gesture to move over to that other desktop. Between that and alt + tab, I’m not quite sure what benefit stage manger brings to the Mac that wasn’t there before. Do you have anything like Magnet that allows for window snapping? I’d be interested how that sits with stage manager. Also intrigued as to when going into full screen mode (which then puts you in a new desktop anyway). I feel torn. Good video though* mate!

Stage Manager reminds me of Aero Flip (Win key + Tab) in Windows Vista and Windows 7. They both serve similar purpose. Microsoft was ahead of time then.
