Macro photography and focus stacking using the Nikon Z6ii 

I’m new to photography and just learning about focus stacking, thanks for making this easy and clear to understand. I was using a D3300 and just got a new Z6II and love it. Now I need to get a macro lens and start putting what you’ve shared into practice, thank again!

So glad you done this vlog. Have been wanting to get out and try macro photography.

Hi Darrell. Another great video. We loved the abstract patterns of the wood photos, and the small leaf with the moss at the end with lovely contrasting colours. Tremendous find of the natural golden ratio photo at 7 minutes into your video. Thanks Jon and Sandra

Just wondering if you could use the "Focus Shifting" feature of the Nikon Z cameras instead of moving the focus by hand when using a macro lens?

I really want pixel shift/high resolution function for repo 35mm slides I wonder how focus stacking can achieve similar high res results , focus stacking souns amazing but fundamentally different from pixel shift

I have to say that I expected before clicking the video that the sample images would be utter garbage like they usually are in for example DPreview TV's lens reviews but you have taken really wonderful photographs.

Considering getting a Z6ii, it seems to work well with the adapter ring? 😊

You have a focus stacking option on your camera.

Wow, 1 to 1. 2x is the way to go.

What tripod head are you using here? I noticed you are clamping both on the base of the camera and the left side for vertical orientation.

So are you manually focus stacking or using the built in feature of Z6ll?

I thought this camera had in camera focus stacking, if it does why do it manually?
