The last 5 seconds of the video seems to have eaten itself. Imagine 5 more seconds of us standing exactly where we were, laughing a bit and then we stop talking. OK, now you've just seen the last 5 seconds of the video.

My youngest sister had her eye scratched when she was really little (like 5 years old or so). It was a long, jagged, diagonal scratch across her cornea (the clear lens on your eye). We took her to our eye doctor (he's incredibly good) and he took a close-up picture of the scratched eye. Then he prescribed a special antibiotic lotion that we had to put in her eye (it was specifically an eye lotion). After a week, we took her back in to get her checked out. He took another close-up picture of her eye. I was able to see the before and after pictures, was able to see that the scratch had healed completely, and had a brief conversation about why the scratch was dangerous: it can get infected. Jagged wounds in the cornea can allow bacteria to take hold and start to eat at the rest of the lens, which is why it was important to use the special antibiotic lotion. The lotion itself also lubricated her cornea to prevent the wound from being torn open further by the action of her blinking eyelid. The reason I'm even sharing this story is because it was the last time I saw an eye up close and magnified.

@@timbusta9808 All I can say is the eyes shake because of stimuli, So if theres too much going on you'll probably see the eyes move or if you can feel them move. But there's "no cure" for it. And ppl get surgery for it, however I didn't, and instead tried to stop it naturally. And if you keep up with it it might go away for a long time. So keep your eyes in the best health with natural light and shield them, and the eyes will probably improve. (You have to "shut off" the movement)

Not so fun fact, there's a medical condition, when you're developing in the womb, if the blood vessels in your eye don't come away from the vitreous humerus like they're supposed to as your eyes are developing, it can result in scarring the vitreous humerus, making it hazy, which becomes a type of blindness. The condition is called Persistent Hyperplastic Primary Vitreous (PHPV). I have this condition in my left eye, and because of it, I am slowly going blind in my right eye as well (myopia). Co-ocurring conditions include glaucoma (which can result in brain damage as well), myopia, cataracts and total blindness. I'm one of the lucky ones because worst case scenario is I'll be completely blind by 30 which is in 11 years.

Easiest way to explain VOR is to bassically put your arm out fully and stick your thumb up. Stare at your thumb. And without losing focus of your thumb. Turn your head left and right, going quicker every so often without losing focus on your thumb. This is what VOR is. Your eyes accomodate for you heard turning and will try to keep focus on what you are looking at. They don't really rotate in such that if you angle your head 90 degress your eyes will stay in position. They do however slightly rotate, in just only a couple degrees. maybe less. You can see this yourself. Just stare at something, and without losing focus or blinking, slightly tilt your head left or right, and you'll notice your eyes stay level. Once you blink, your eyes adjust and will not be level with your focused object. I believe some people can train their eyes to tilt by using the muscles within the eyes and can do it without tilting their heads. Makes for a cool but pretty gross trick. No idea if it's true or something but haven't really tried it myself. Guessing it's sort of how people can move their ears without moving a muscle so to speak.

@@stevethea5250 You cannot see that from the outside, at least not without some really powerful light and magnification. You would have to look into the eye through the pupil, which contracts to light. One method would be to use atropin (belladonna extract) to artificially widen the pupil and peek inside. The lens itself wouldn't be too visible, because it is transparent (obviously), so the only thing to see moving would be the muscles deforming it. That movement is not really fast, so it isn't worth to use a high-speed camera for that.
