I remember when I used to see Skill working at the VCU parking Deck!! It used to hurt me 😮! He used to come to the Vuu campus and rap with us!! Skills was a beast, and the Super friends!! Dope
Skillz is MAD underrated. From his hits- ghostwriting- yearly rap ups - and uncle murda diss - easily hip hop legendary legacy. If you dont know, do your hw on him. Respect from the west coast Skillz
I remember when I first heard The Nod Factor I was 20 years old. I lost my damn mind. Then found out Skillz was from VA I went bananas. I was like we here. He put the entire state in the mix. Thanks bro for your contribution to hip hop.👊🏾💪🏾🤎
Skillz judged a rap battle I was in... Even though he voted against me, I still argue in his favor when the topic about MC's in my city come up.. RICHMOND MADE IT TO DRINK CHAMPS AGAIN!!!! All because of Skillz! Respect..
Salute to skillz definitely a legend and opened doors for Va. Im from Va Beach and Norfolk. But lived in Richmond in Fulton on the east end for 8 yrs. Richmond and Tidewater legendary places. Salute to skillz brought from where his first album the first day it came out in 96. A lot of talent in Va!
" I feel like Large Professor.....PEACE IS NOT THE WORD TO SAY" That Common story and the impersonation was hilarious!!! Skillz is a true wordsmith. He got bars and can tell a story.
@@jackjackrvaglobal365exactly! I'm from Richmond and style wise we dress nothing like people in the south. They just gettin on air forces in da past 10 years. We been on dat. We call em flav's! Dem niggas was still wearing reebok. 😂
@@johnmoore3953 facts 😂 we’re city/country in Richmond. Even the mechanic jumpers and hunting gear was a staple. Seeing hunting gear mainstream is kinda weird. My cousins in New York used to laugh at it. Now it’s trendy to be southern, when Richmond got slack for it.
@jackjackrvaglobal365 other southern states don't even look at us like dem. We are way ahead of dem. We have never had their style at all. I lived in S.C. in 2004 they were still wearing South Pole 🤣
Mad skillz first album was dope you can’t tell this dude is from Virginia he sounds just like a New Yorker dude can really rap he should have been a superstar
I literally sat impatiently waiting 4 the end of year wrap up. It was the talk of the new year for months afterwards 😅😮😂 everything he said. VA really had some talent outta VA Mad Skillz, Neptunes/Pharell, Chris Brown, Nicole Ray, Missy & Tim, Magoo, Genuine, Trey Songz D'Angelo, Pusha T/Clipse (honorable mention Teddy Riley)

Living Legend! One of the most humble and down to earth persons you will ever meet. Been a fan and friend since the 90’s when he was rapping at the Arthur Ashe center. 🫡
So … I’m from NC and we consider anything above Richmond the north 😂 anything below they country lol!! He needed to come back!! Skillz has stories and yall need have him again!! For sure!! He got good energy too mad respect 👏🏽👏🏽 EFN always want someone to drink tree bark with him 😂😂😂
I remember when Skillz used to come up to the Stretch & Bobbito Show aka 89Tec9. You KNOW it was time to get your cassettes ready to record. He never did a bad show. Him, Lord Finesse and Big L are the best with the metaphors. I STILL have my WKCR 89 TEC 9 tapes with Skillz.
Skills I'm proud of you big dog, I remember you came to John f. Kennedy in the 90's and we were in a cypher under the BASKETBALL court .....I never forget it .....804📌

DjEnvee Thank u for recognizing the moment when Cannibus ate ate ate emcee's. Canibus trashed LL in 2nd Round Knockout. This was a HUGE moment in hiphop. 🎵🎼🎵 🎤 LL rocked the Bells & His Momma said knock you out & he had jeeps bumping in the streets, a true HipHop Legend. But he took an LL in that battle.
