Minor thing, those birds that attacked Alex were most likely weavers, which build hanging nests like that by weaving together straw and other material, hence their name. They’re more like “normal” birds than hummingbirds.

minor nit-pick, 9/11 was in 2001, so this isn't a movie prior to 9/11. Most of the movies in the 2000s are post 9/11. Alex came to New York before 9/11 in-universe.

Yeah, I would say that this series seemed to get better story wise after the first film. I mean we have back story for Alex, the main characters having more development, and personality, and things like that. Oh, and it was great to meet Alex’s parents. Well, thanks for reacting to this sequel!

Considering this movie came out in 2012 I am incredibly shocked they showed the Twin Towers as out of respect any movies after 9/11 removed the towers in respect. Spiderman 1 actually showed footage on the Twin Towers h=but had to remove a bunch of scenes that showed it after.

Everyone calls it Madagascar Escape 2 Africa, but ever since I was a kid I will always insist it's Madagascar 2: Escape Africa. Its the sequel and they spend the whole movie trying to escape Africa because they crashed there. I don't care what anyone says! 😭

I just realized how stupid it is to think it's amazing that Alex noticed which zebra Marty is even though it was so obvious since he was the only one not facing him, which is something a friend who's mad at their friend would do in a crowd of people. Also how wouldn't he figured out who he was if he didn't have that bite mark on him.

Interesting fact about the gremlin on the wing.William Shatner saw it on twilight zone 1963 nightmare at 20000 feet. John Lithgow saw the gremlin on the plane 1983 twilight zone the movie.
