I find it weird about the fact the Spider Tribe decided to send Cassandra Webb back to the USA after her mother gave birth to her with their help, instead of raising her as one of their own.

If the tv show (and movie) The A-Team taught us nothing else, it is that when you are accused of a crime you didn't commit, IMMEDIATELY go on the run and commit a whole bunch of other crimes to.......something. Plans come together, people are constantly drugged and/or tricked into getting into flying machines of various types, and fools are pitied, I think.
The other paramedic is Ben Parker so THIS spider verse came first - this VERSION CAME FIRST. It's their subtle way to, as always, put down the original and vault their own 'version' of the subject matter to the top.

Technically this is a lore reboot involving the Spider Society (a branch was shown in "Peru"). Kraven, a movie coming out in August, is also part of the reboot in the comics.
This doesn't even feel like Ai., it's more a reflection of the wrong production team ie the head writers & director who have no track record of being good at their jobs.. the real question is why do they keep getting hired... This is what's baffling about the state of these movies..., it's the constant casting & hiring of people not fit to do the job.. the studio heads consistently cook up a recipe for failure like it's box office gold

I think Sony used a cheap AI program to write the script. The actors recognized it right away and they all dropped into "Just give me my paycheck" mode. Translation? Nobody gave a damn.
People need to understand that AI is generating the script outlines. Then DEI enforcers fill in the gaps. That’s why everything is the same, and terrible.
I think the ability to see 3 minutes into the future would be better for a psychological thriller, not a superhero movie. Really, what can you do with 3 minutes? Sometimes quite a lot. Sometimes nothing. That would be interesting to explore.

A housewife? A bus driver? A school teacher? Stories are interesting when ordinary people are thrown into extraordinary circumstances.

You know, I only knew about madam webb through one of the spider-man cartoon series. I do not know which year it was when it came out, but she is considered like a F character. There are A characters like Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and Spider-man. B characters, like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Black Widow, C characters, like Moon Knight, Inhumans, all the humans without powers. Then there are the D characters, like all the pets, and animals in the story. E, characters are the cities and locations where the stories take place. Then there is madam webb. For sony to decide she deserved a movie, and not tie it to spider-man, or the spider-man universe, was a real mistake.
Madame Web is the laughing stock of all the Marvel movies which is exactly why i refer to it as The Pepsi Movie on account of the blatant and horrendous product placement throughout the majority of the runtime. 🕸🕷😡🖕🏻
The reason they made this movie is because for them to hold on to the spider man movie rights. They MUST create something every couple of yours or marvel finally gets the right back to create their own spider man movies.
I am pretty sure we are seeing the work that has been in the pipeline for 2 - 3 years which was the height of giving people with no experience other than a check mark in a box. Things are changing but we won't see the results until sometime in 2026
Well, it seems it is only these diversity films that take several years to make. Its almost like there is an innate laziness mixed with an obsession for wasting time looking for offense and diversity at every turn wastes time and money. A regular movie will usually take about a year less. Unless it is some insane blockbuster like Avatar or Pirates of the Caribbean or something, and this ain't one.
VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (who is also directing VENOM 3) MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB) And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT AVI ARAD ruined everything again And he isn't even involved in MADAME WEB
@@nicholascoob1350 the first venom wasn't bad. I haven't seen the sequel but I enjoyed the first one. I'm the type that doesn't need much in movies. As long it's entertaining, I can enjoy them. I don't need the greatest story or the best cinematography. Just give me a decent story and don't push your bs on me and make it entertaining enough to not want to stop it half way thru. The directors of madame web did Dracula untold, the last witch hunter, the last power rangers movie, and Gods of Egypt. I didn't mind either of those so that tells you the movie I'll tolerate. They aren't good movies by any stretch but I didn't regret watching them. They're movies that if are on TV and nothing else is on I don't mind watching them. I haven't seen morbius or madame web but it seems like with every movie the two directors are getting worse and worse and I've heard they are terrible. I can tell madame web wouldn't even be remotely enjoyable.
@@bryandedon7459 I loved the first venom movie. But the sequel's only good thing was carnage. The sequel with venom though made it seem like a gay rom com type of thing. There's a "break up scene" of when Eddy gets rid of venom and they do BS soul searching without eachother before reuniting with eachother. Its super weird. There's even a "pride" event or rave where Venom speaks of how he loves but doesn't need Eddy. The vast majority of the film is very romcom like with some action here and there but all of the main action happens near the end. I'm not even sure why they wrote a venom movie like that but it was terrible. They also heavily dumbed down venom to be mostly pure comic relief rather than a scary threatening force like the first one tried for. They have no clear direction for the venom character at all. Same with most of what super heros and star wars is now.
I've been waiting for the moment when a film earns less at the box office than the combined ad rev of all the RU-vidrs destroying it. Is Madame Web the one?

Not a failure because its M SHE U, it failed because it SUCKS, Sony only made this film to keep the media rights for the character. A character that was only D list character that only served as a plot device in Spiderman Comics and Cartoons. Hired a director that NEVER did an feature and the writers have a resume of writing CRAP. I think we are approaching the end of the Super Hero Film Era, Marve;s tanked, this film was a low effort entry by a Studio who only cares about keeping the rights same will be with Kraven. Casual Movie Goer is finally tapped out and wants something different.

At one point the girls are in a diner and in the diner someone is reading a story about them being kidnapped, an even that happened just a few minutes before. Now that’s fast news reporting. It just shows the laziness that went into this movie.
It's like on the Fairly Odd Parents, Timmy would make a foolish wish, something bad would happen, there'd be a TV next to him, and "I'm Chet Ubetcha with breaking news!"
This is to the title. Madame Web isn't a part of the MCU. Madame Web has nothing to do with the MCU. It's a part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, but without Spider-Man.
You forgot to mention the CPR scene & the ambulance flying thru a building to hit the villain even though there's no way she could see that he was standing there & the fact the ambulance would have landed nose 1st & not be able to drive after that, but in this movie it was still drivable
Why didn't they capture the villain? He was standing over Cassie's mom after he shot her holding a gun. When the "spider tribe's man" arrived the villain was literally holding a smoking gun... But they let him run away under his human strength... When they clearly could have stopped him with their "spider abilities". Captured him tied him up, Cassie could have still been born, then we would have gotten a different villain... A better villain

I'm convinced that Sony only made this movie because they needed something to fill a theatrical release window and can't use the MCU's Tom Holland version of Spider-man. 😢

He was in the amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders and it was not Peter Parker. Instead its a unheard of spiderlike guy trying to save his own future. Could be an alternate Peter who went rogue. So who is really bad in this? This doesn't seem to tie well into the spiderverse or MCU.
You've actually made me feel better about one of the gripes I had about this film. During Peter Parker's time, Madame Web is an old lady. If this taking place in the past, then I'm not so upset about it. Wish there was anything to let you know about that in the previews.
I had to stop the video 2 minutes in because I was already laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I just got this image of an indignant Lauren in the theater jumping up on her seat and screaming: "What is this $hit! This ain't a real movie! You F*ckers are lying to me! I want my money back!" omg...Lauren is the best.
This video makes it sound like this movie could have been good but we had AI write the script, we selected actresses to fulfill a diversity quota and made them dress so men wouldn't want to see them in a movie to make the movie more appealing to women. Which resulted in men not going and women not wanting to watch a super hero movie not going. That is it ticked all the boxes for a movie you don't want to watch.
